M Villas Phu Quoc — Hotel in Phú Quốc

I regreted choosing this place for my family to stay for 3 nights.

TL;DR: Facilities seemed fancy at first glance but poorly maintained, in poor conditions. Housekeeping was a mess, utilities malfunctioned. Staff and owner showed incompetence and negligence. Avoid this place.

We stayed at V20. The facilities was ok, kinda fancy at first glance, but there was actually lack of maintenance and care, housekeepers didn't do their job properly. I came in the room only to find several flies, hair in the bathroom, the bathroom wasn't even clean or cleansed properly. My parents' rooms stank like mold, turned out it was from the bed sheets.

Door lock was of smart type with passcode, but it didn't work at checkin, I informed them but it didn't get fix until we were going out and couldn't close/open the door. Note that the staff was running back and forth, didn't know how to fix it, effectively wasting us more than an hour, and turned out it just needed a battery change!

There was no wifi from the first night. After informed, they tried to fix but couldn't then blamed internet provider and said that they couldn't do anything. I requested a cellular wireless router but it didn't work either. We were forced to use our own cellular but there were 4 TVs in the place and none of them worked without wifi.

On the second night, there was barely enough water for me to shower, I thought it was just because I showered quite late. Third night, water stopped running while I was covered in soapy bubbles. They blamed the water supplier then sent a lumber to fix it, water ran again for 5min then stopped again. I tried to used our drinking water to wash during the wait but only managed to get out of the bathroom around midnight. After some talks and complaints, I figured they did know about this problem but ignored it and still had the place available for rent. The owner showed negligence and carelessness, even cursed against her own clients (thanks to my late night calls). Their staff were incompetent and unprofessional.

Cars the I rented at this place (owner's sibling/cousin) were ourdated enough that hadn't equipped with maps and couldn't connect to smart phones. Highly not recommend them either.

Overall, a horrible experience for us, or it was just our luck. I still recommend avoiding this place because while facilities can be fixed, human behavior...

We travel quite a lot and M Villas has been the worst experience. Our group had 16 people divided into 2 villas. In short, 1 AC did not work in each villa (once worked, it dripped water all over), hot water did not work, we ordered 2 cribs before the trip and did not get here by late at night.

What really got us angry was the staffs’ attitude. They kept making excuses and telling us that normally things were fine, other villas were ok. Staff named Quang was disrespectful, shaking his leg while talking to us. No sincere apology was given.

Maybe we were unlucky, staying at the 2 worst villas at their place. But, vacation is supposed to be stress free, don’t try...

Absolutely gorgeous place to stay!!Overall the villa was a very worthy stay. The villa was huge and comfortable, the air conditioning was great, the swimming pool was also clean, the private beach area was close and they had provided us sufficient water( which other hotels would usually only provide a few bottles of water)The only improvements I would suggest would be the breakfast as they were quite simple and the internet was not really working. Other than that, our family had an absolutely wonderful time.Plus, the reception lady ( short haired with eyeglass on) was super helpful and friendly, we all really appreciated her...
