Minh Phu Quoc Hotel — Hotel in Phú Quốc

DO NOT COME HERE , Minh Phu Quoc (MPQ) is not a Hotel, Its a house run by a local & oversea family, a doggy business. Minh Phu Quoc, has no receptionist, no kitchen, no room service. No tea or coffee provided in room; the mini fridge is unplugged (not working). They have a open space (downstairs) where they turned it into a kitchen with a portable cooktop + a fridge + a table and chairs. There is nothing to do in this house. The swimming pools are shared with the people live in Phu Quoc Marina waterfront. Pool towels for hire ~ 50,000 each. I booked a package via Agoda and paid or 8 people (flights + accommodation) Minh Phu Quoc accepted the booking. MPQ listed their facility could accommodate 8 people, In fact they messaged me via WhatsApp and requested for $ 3million Dong to at the time of check-in. For the peace of traveling I paid them as requested in cash at the time of check in. As a customer, I provided the number of people and paid as per booking. MPQ failed to honour the booking, they complained its system error. MPQ should cancelled the booking if their room is unable to accommodate for the number of people booked. While their facility is a house not a Hotel but they dare to claim its a 3 Stars hotel and demanded $3 million Dong more. They refused to issue an official receipt with their business name as requested by Agoda. MPQ requested NOT to report them to Agoda. Likes: Close to the beach in the BIM group. Guests can use the BIM internal swimming pool. Equipped with a gas stove and cooking utensils for convenient cooking. Affordable price of 500k/day, comparable to other places within the BIM. Having basic furniture in the room. If you participate in the Ironman BIM Group event, this location is only 100m away from the expo.

Dislikes: Despite staying for 10 days, room cleaning was only done twice upon my request. Bedding was left for guests to change themselves. There were days when the trash was full, and new trash bags were not provided promptly. The host asked me to carry the mini fridge to my room myself. Insufficient housekeeping staff on busy days. During the 3-day Ironman event, the host increased the price to 2.5 times, amounting to 1.2 million VND/night. Other hotels in the BIM had not increased prices like that. Lack of transparency in additional services: The host proactively offered to arrange a pickup but did not inform about the associated fee. The taxi driver charged more than regular taxis. The host introduced before customers booked that the hotel has a washing machine available for use, but did not inform in advance that there would be a charge for it. We just returned from an incredible stay at Phu Quoc villa in Marina Resort beach swimming pool and are already dreaming of going back. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel completely at home.

The facilities at the villa were absolutely top-notch. The infinity pool and kitchen was a highlight, and we spent hours enjoying it. We were also impressed with the another facility, [ e.g., immaculately clean rooms, comfortable beds, stunning views from the terrace] Everything was well-maintained and felt incredibly luxurious.

But what truly made our stay unforgettable was the amazing support staff was outstanding. They anticipated our needs, prepared and kept the villa spotless. Their genuine warmth and professionalism made all the difference.
