This is the second time I have stayed at the Nakichi. This time I booked directly and was collected from the airport as well! This is a family run hotel. Ruby and her staff are lovely and very helpful. The rooms are very clean, spacious, bed was super comfortable and the air conditioning was perfect! The cost of the room was extermely good value! They do have a casual style restaurant and there is also a very handy store on premise. However there is also a small food night market 1 minute walk away, and several other options on site including the "Sailing Club" which is an impressive bar restaurant with nightly fire dancer shows. We were able to hire a scooter directly from the hotel which worked perfectly. The location is quiet and away from the Long Beach area and main town(Dương Đông), which take 15-20 minutes on the bike or a taxi or you can travel south to the Sunset town if you prefer. The big plus is it's 50 meters from the beach, which is really clean and the swimming pools are lovely too. Highly...
Read moreI booked this hotel for 11 nights and made a mistake. The facilities, or rather the lack thereof, require you to manage everything on your own. There is no cleaning of the rooms or bathrooms; while they refill the water bottles daily, any garbage in the room or kitchen area can remain for two or three days.
If you ask the staff for anything, the response is often a "no" unless you approach the owner, Ruby. When you go to the restaurant, you may have to wait a long time for someone to assist you, or you’ll need to go to them directly and ask for help. The staff members are quite rude and often do not understand English.
If they make a mistake, they will laugh and say sorry, but they still charge you for the same item and do not offer to replace it or correct the order. Instead, they insist that you pay for it.
The only positive aspect of my stay was Ruby, the owner, who was very helpful and...
Read moreI want to personally thank Nakichi owner for saving my trip. I had booked a room online at a nearby hotel but they would not accept the booking due to the their overbooking situation. Since it was without a place to stay, Nakichi owner helped me find a room and it met all of my expectations and more. Very clean room, towels and bed changed daily. Staff very friendly when I was speaking Vietnamese with them. There are motorbikes for rental but a lot of them are very old and not user friendly for foreigners, staff needs to teach customers how to turn on vehicle and other information on using the vehicle before leaving them to drive. Overall, I very much enjoyed my stay here and would introduce it to my family and friends 100%. It was also nice to play football on the street with the owner’s...
