Phu House Hostel — Hotel in Phú Quốc

It's a hotel with a hostel feel and price! There are options to stay in a shared dorm or private room. The rooms are cleaned daily and the front desk is generally available for any needs. The hostel also has a rooftop bar and kitchen. The sky bar is a great place for happy hour cocktails. Complimentary, albeit cheap, local beer is offered from 5-5:30 and the sunset from this spot is stellar! Each night they have different social activity offers for those wanting to join in. These range from an organized bar crawl, to a boat trip and even a trivia night. The activities are wonderful, but the group who I stayed with in my shared dorm actually made my 5 day stay even better. We had a great time hanging out at the beach, grabbing drinks at Rory's and recovering in the aircon! All in all, more than worth the price of the room. There are however cheaper options for the amenities (laundry, boat trips, scooter rental, food, etc). Make sure to take a trip out to Soa beach, about 25min SE by scooter. The sand there is fine and white and the water super clear. (See pic.) One thing to note, that although this is a beautiful location, the trash pollution is quite evident. Decoration in traditional Chinese way which is really nice and cozy. Location is good, next to the must visit - Ocsen beach bar, really close we can literally walk to there; around 3km to the Center of Phu Quoc island. Hostel provides free toothbrush comb 1 bottle of water (330ml) per guest per day. Cleanliness is okay, better check the bed and sheet when receive the room, minibar in the room i stayed was empty and didnt work. Love their bathroom decoration. Skyline bar on top of the hostel is a wonderful place to enjoy sunset, food and drink is good with acceptable prices. Overall, good place for traveler who just need to change clothes and sleep over like me

Positive:clean,location,free beer for 30min a day,nice rooftop bar,jacuzzi,fridge,ac Negative: worst reception service so far!unwelcoming checkin,inconsistent information regarding prices and services and everything takes ages and requires talking to half the staff breakfast was included for us (otherwise very pricey 100k) and average at best scooter rental without a copy of the contract for us,scooter in bad condition (speedometer broken) however no replacement was offered they charged 120k for airport pickup while we thought it would be free or at least 90k according to the taximeter very noisy: loud music from reception area & loud music coming from sky bar resulting in an awful sound on our precise floor PLUS noisy squeaking bathroom saloon doors checkout was the worst: highly complicated and nerve-wracking, we received neither a bill nor a receipt and they charged us for more than expected - we had to pay in the end because they made very clear that otherwise they wouldn't give us our passports back
