Origin 1982 is a hidden gem in Phu Quoc that deserves more attention. I discovered it while visiting The Home Pizza, which is owned by the same people. The bar’s signature cocktails are a must-try, and the traditional old Vietnamese design adds to the ambiance.
During my visit, I had the pleasure of chatting with the bartender, who invited us to try some special drinks that were not on the menu. It was a unique experience that made our visit even more memorable.
The decor of the bar is modern and classical, with traditional Vietnamese aesthetics mixed with rich mahogany and dark leather of a colonial speakeasy. The ambiance is perfect for a romantic date or a night out with friends.
The prices at Origin 1982 are reasonable, with most cocktails priced between $10-$11. The service is excellent, with friendly staff who are attentive to your needs.
What really sets Origin 1982 apart from other bars in Phu Quoc is its unique atmosphere and signature cocktails. The bar’s owner has done an excellent job of creating a space that feels both modern and traditional at the same time. It’s definitely worth visiting if you’re...
Read more(The 5 stars are for the drinks, we haven't had any food) I've had an amazing evening here with my girlfriend. This is a mixology bar, where both bartenders (mixologists) really know their craft. We have tried several of their signature drinks (using local ingredients) and since we found them very interesting, tasty and skillfully prepared, we then asked them whether they could mix us some cocktails based on our preferences, which they did phenomenally. We can't recommend this bar enough! The whole crew has been super nice and kind and genuously interested in our opinion in order to make it even better going forward. The location is both a plus and an unfortunatey disadvantage for them, as it is a bit set back from the main road, which hides it from most passerbies, but if you should seek it out, you will find a quiet and peaceful bar which has a beautiful decor and fantastic cocktails. We can't recommend it...
Read moreThis place is by far the best bar on the island. We discovered this hidden gem a little bit late, but spent our last two nights on Phu Quoc there. The bar is situated in a house dating back to 1982, which itself makes the place very special. Ruby and Queen are running the place. They are welcoming and friendly hosts. Ruby is a true mixologist and creates incredible cocktails, I would go as far and say some of them are unequaled. If your interested in gin, she can present you a gin from every region of Vietnam, with its unique flavour. This bar is a must go to, if you appreciate a good cocktail and a...
