The hotel is very old. The walls are shabby, in places the plaster is already falling off. The ceiling is dirty in smudges. The rooms have old furniture, mattresses and linen. Cleaning is poor. Under the beds there is dust that has not been removed for months. This situation in the rooms of different price categories is the same.
Breakfasts are very poor. There is no diversity. Food is served already all cold and sometimes even from yesterday’s. During our stay there were several severe cases of poisoning, including ours - with vomiting, diarrhea and fever. The dishes are washed very badly. Repeatedly, in the restaurant we came across dirty dishes, forks and spoons with stone-caked mud, not laundered for weeks.
Staff is lazy, untidy and evil. The territory is well-kept and beautiful. The beach is big and clean. Sand is leveled and watered. The mattresses on the sun loungers are very old, torn and rotten, after our remark to the hotel manager they began to change the covers. The pool is ordinary.
The sea (December-January) is very restless, as a result the water is muddy with sand, but there is practically no debris in the water. It’s stupid to go here with children, the sea to children is quite dangerous. In a nearby hotel on December 31st, a 6-year-old Chinese child was carried away by the surf, the body was never found. You can swim only before dinner, then a strong wind rises and the waves become even higher, the sea is crowded with kayters and swimming with them can even be traumatic. Without fins and goggles swimming is quite dangerous due to high waves and wind. Often the problem is even to enter the water due to high painful surf, especially after dinner.
Sunbathing after dinner is uncomfortable because of the strong wind that raises the cutting sand. For the same reason it can be even cold in the shade under a canopy on the beach after...
Read moreI initially booked a standard double room for 2 nights via Booking.com, and the main reason for my 1-star review is due to false advertising. The room looked nothing like the pictures they provided - we were provided a much smaller room with a wooden window/door combo that didn’t even close properly (you can barely open up a suitcase in the room and have any space to walk!). There were visible gaps around the frame, which caused our room to be infested with insects and two lizards.
We immediately raised our concerns with the reception staff and requested a refund for one night so we could leave the resort. They refused and were quite persistent about not issuing any refund. We then insisted on being moved to a room that matched the advertised standard. Eventually, they did move us to a slightly better room with more space and fully closable windows - but this one still had insect issues and was missing key features shown in the online listing, such as a table and two chairs.
In the end, we knew we won’t be compensated for anything, so we decided to just leave the resort/city entirely on the same day shortly after midnight and continue on our journey in Vietnam.
The other reasons: we saw at least 5 birds picking off exposed foods like bread and fruits during the 7:00-10:00am breakfast, and the staffs not doing anything about it/changing the food. Eat at your own risk. The complimentary shampoo/shower gel bottles provided were very small - enough for 3 to 4 showers max, and I was with my girlfriend too so you can imagine how fast that would deplete. Better to bring your own or you will find yourself constantly requesting for more from reception.
All in all, disappointed with this resort and experience. Would...
Read moreWe took the deluxe suite with half board for 6 nights. The room was spacious and modern but a bit sparse and lacking in character. The beds were confirmation we had all that you would expect (air con, modern shower, good tv and hairdryer). ||The private access to the beach is nice with comfortable sun loungers and beach towels are provided. ||The only downside is the half board option which we would not take again. When booking online, it seemed good value to take a half board option so we would have both breakfast and dinner included but on arrival we were given vouchers what were 350,000 dong each. ||When we got to the restaurant, we were surprised at how expensive the meals are and how little we could get for the value of the voucher. For some dishes the voucher was not enough for both me and my husband to get a main and a drink. ||When we queried this with reception, we found the receptionist to be blasé and unhelpful. She laughed us off and eventually said she would speak with the manager who wasn’t interested in our problem. ||Overall, it’s a nice enough resort and the food we did eat was of good quality, just bad value. We would stay again, but we would avoid half board as you can get such good...
