Elegant Hostel — Hotel in Quảng Bình Province

Me and my two friends got kicked out of this hostel. We booked this hostel for two nights. We wanted to book a tour for the next day and there are many tour operators here, so we went around town to check where we could get the best price for the tour. Our hostel offered the tour for a higher price than another hostel did, so we booked at the other hostel. When we got to our hostel to go to bed at night, the owner asked us what our plans for the next day were, so we told him we were going to do the tour. He asked us where we had booked it, so we honestly answered that we booked somewhere else because there we could get a better offer (lower price and free beer, who can say no to that?). The owner of the hostel was not amused.||||The next day was a national holiday in Vietnam, to celebrate the new year. The owner of the hostel told us that if we would sleep at his hostel that night, but booked a tour at another company for the first day of the new year, it would bring bad luck to the hostel. At first I thought he was joking, but he wasn't. He told us we had to either book the tour with him (and thus pay double because we would not get the other tour refunded), or leave the hostel. Of course we did not want to book the tour double, so we decided to leave and stay at another hostel for almost double the price. ||||He told us he was very sorry, and I can very much understand different customs in different cultures, but he should have warned us beforehand so we could have kept it in mind. Of course we did not want to disrespect the culture or “bring bad luck”, but we could not have known this. He also did not help us to find another accommodation to sleep, even though we asked...

At first moment I have got imptession on 5 stars, room clean, breakfast good and helpfull stuff, but after second night I could not sleep, because of screamings, pool playing and party just behind the paper wall. Party included the owner, who was rude and unelegant with his behaviour during the day with me, suggesting we are couple and trying to grab my hand. I was annoyed with his behaviour, as he continued even after I told him to stop. He scream to the people on the street and is one of this annoying people, who see foreigner and try to be funny with them, screaming on the street 'eloooo, happy hour, elooo how are you eloooo'. I dont recommend this place, he seems to not respect people and grab attention of enviroment being loud and screaming with...

We arrived early in the morning and they allowed us as discussed before on the phone to already check in. The beds were like ston. We didn't sind in 1mm and they were foldable mattresses. We tried to sleep for a bit and woke up with backpain 2hours later. We saw the room in light and it was dirty and molded in the corners. My friends blanket had an old blood stain on it, the toilet spilled on the backside when flushing, there was a bucket with lots of hairs in the bathroom and more things like that. We talked to the guy at the reception he didn't understand but at least agreed to let us go with paying only half of the first night if we cancelled the booking...
