Tavan Homestay — Hotel in Ta Van Commune

We rode into Sapa and made our way to Tavan Homestay. It was such beautiful scenery and traversing through the rice terraces was incredible. Arriving at Tavan was great. We dried up and the family were so beautiful. The boy had great english and it was super nice to be able to learn about the family. The deck overlooking the valley and mountains became our home for the next couple days as the rains came down heavy. We enjoyed many good times there with everyone. Food was delicious! The sleeping upstairs was comfortable and gave a good feeling waking up with the mosquito net. Felt like a child again. I highly recommend this homestay if you...

We had a private room but there is so little in between the dorm and the rooms that you still hear every word. The beds are quite hard and the place is not that clean overall. The place is located next to the road so from 5-6 am you will hear the dogs, chickens and children waking up and starting to make noise. There are a lot of motorbikes passing by aswell which made it impossible for us to sleep well. We left a few days earlier than planned to find a place outside of Sapa where we can relax some more. This homestay is better than staying in any other hotels. You will get deep into the vietnamese culture. The family is lovely and they are helpful and generous. |They have a very nice kid, a dog and a cat.|The views are amazing, waking up with a coffee in the pure nature is the best.|I totally recommend this homestay.
