Wow. My stay at Lazy Crazy was absolutely magical from the moment I entered to the moment I (sadly) left. The entire space is so beautiful and peaceful, you can tell they have really put a lot of thought and care into making this place. The hosts Giang and his wife Dou are so so lovely and super helpful - they really make you feel at home like you’re spending time with old friends. In addition to the hosts, the other staff and other guests and locals were such a delight to interact with as well - I will truly miss the people and the beautiful animals the most. I was staying in a private bungalow by the stream and it was just PERFECT. Sunshine or rain, it was so serene to be inside watching nature from the comfort of bed. I also did a motorbike tour organised by the hosts which was fantastic!! And they also helped me organise a rental scooter for the next day too! The food here was some of the best I’ve had in all my time in Vietnam - very homely, authentic and delicious! The chips with lime leaves are perfection. Thank you so much Giang and family! You guys are incredible and I feel so blessed to have been able to spend some time here and I already cannot wait to come back!! Highly recommend this place!!! (Also side note, Giang has a SUPER vibey bar down on the Main Street and makes some incredible drinks!! Make sure...
Read moreThis homestay was amazing!!! John and his wife Tum were so kind and really treated me like part of the family. They organized a one-day trekking tour for me which was also amazing! We had family dinner just about every night which had delicious home-cooked food. It was very wholesome. And they were even able to accommodate my gluten-free and vegan diet! Their whole vibe was so amazing and chill and quirky and fun. I booked the dorm but they upgraded me to a private without any extra cost because they wanted me to be comfortable! Also if you’re a musician, definitely book this place. They provide free accommodation for musicians, and you get to jam out every night with John at his bar. He has guitar and piano. The house also has painting supplies so you can paint if you’d like. The view is unreal; you can see the mountains and the valley all day. I can’t stress enough how much I loved my stay here. I even extended my stay one night because I just didn’t want to leave! You do have to walk up a really steep hill to get to the house, but the experience at the homestay made it all so worth it. But definitely consider this if you are not physically fit or able to walk the 5 minutes up the steep hill. Or do it anyway and just hang out at the house the whole time. You won’t regret it. Lazy crazy has...
Read moreVery minimalist self built wooden huts in nature next to a stream. It's beauty is amazing and you feel like you live in the middle of this forest oasis, yet safe and comfortable. The water sounds of the stream is loud like it's right next to you, but surprisingly it was calming and helped improve my sleep and calm my thoughts. It was regenerative for my well-being. Do keep in mind that you're on a mountain and it gets cold at night and the hut wing keep that cold out, but the blankets will give you a warm and comfortable sleep. There might be insects too but the bed does come with a net, so use it. The owner John did give us some hand washing soap after requesting it, which was nice of him, but would generally expect every room to have one by default. That's my only suggestion. You do need to walk up a steep hill side to get there, keep that in mind too. Luckily the owner offered to transport our luggage up with his scooter and helped me carry it to our hut. The home cooked food was amazing and the vibes were super friendly, yogic, meditative and relaxing. Met some great travellers who came together to share the dinners and breakfasts John's cooked for everyone, taking into account vegans and vegetarians who joined. What an experience, highly...
