I rarely ever shop at Big W and came in to check out the makeup range they sell as i needed some bits and pieces. While I was browsing I noticed the worker constantly watching me, which made me uncomfortable but I didn’t pay much mind to it as I understood she was doing her job. As I barely shop at this place, I was unaware that I needed to pay for makeup in its cosmetics section and left to go grab some socks before checking myself out. As I left the alarm went off and I immediately turned around, already embarrassed, and the worker loudly yelled “Um, excuse me?!” I came back and put the items on the desk and apologised saying, “I’m sorry I didn’t know I had to pay for these here. I thought i could pay with my other items at the other checkout,” to which she glared at me with a smirk and said, “Yeah, Nah.” I understand it was only two words she replied with, but the snarky tone and glares were unnecessary and made me feel worse. I was also in my work uniform, so it was clear i wasn’t planning to “steal” as i’m not utterly stupid. As I work in customer service also, I’m appalled by the attitude I was given and the humiliation caused by the...
Read moreThe lady at the cosmetics/ make-up desk check out was awfully rude & snotty. If I had not missed the chemist before close, would have left items I purchased on the desk & walk right out to buy elsewhere. I asked her for her name but she wouldn't say & just turned away smirking at me. Lady aggressively said something under her breath at me as I walked up to counter to purchase items. And I even said are you serious? I took a few minutes double checking foundation & lip liner colours matched ones I had photos I was looking back & fourth phone in hand (you could see what I was doing) I heard lady make several remarks at me as i was grabbing my items, putting them into shopping basket in my hands. It was like because I was taking a few minutes longer, I was an unconvince & not a valid valued customer. I won't be shopping there again. I make sure I get to chemist warehouse down the road. Shockingly rude. Lady needs some customer service re-fresher & manners. 1 out of...
Read moreHi,
I'd like to make sure that Danielle (Electronics section, Kilkenny, South Australia store) receives our positive customer service feedback. 😊
My daughter has bad social anxiety but really wanted to get some "Demon Slayer" blind bags that were kept behind the counter. Danielle approached me and asked how she could help us. I asked for the blind bags, and she saw my daughter's eyes light up. She knew about the anime and manga and engaged amazingly with my daughter, even asking about other shows she was interested in etc. She was so lovely throughout the whole transaction.
As we walked away, my daughter had the biggest smile on her face and said that was the best shopping experience she's ever had and really wants to make sure that Danielle gets recognised for her great customer service. We were in a rush to leave the store afterwards, so I didn't have time to ask to speak to the manager and pass on our positive feedback at the time, but I will go back...
