Finsbury Hotel — Restaurant in Adelaide

Please do not eat at this hotel. Chips are not fresh and are nearly cold & greasy every time and the staff do not like it if you ask for the chips to be reheated, let alone to make a fresh lot even if you are very polite as I was ! Also, their new chef doesn't know how to cook steaks because my medium steak came well done ! Usually you will have to wait about 30 mins for your meal. Recently on a Sat night there was a Karaoke function & the restaurant was blocked off so that those attending the function could eat in the restaurant but there was only a few tables available in the bar area for anyone else and we waited a full hour for our meals ! The music & noise from the function was so unbearable that we could hardly hear ourselves speak. It is obvious the staff are not trained properly and customer service is almost non existent. I am always very polite if I need to complain so I couldn't believe it when I was told by a waitress, Kathy who said "I don't want you complaining about your meal tonight" when she delivered the meals the last time we were there. This is a pub with rooms. Rooms are interesting flicking lighting paper thin walls and filthy carpets in room. I had a 3 night business stay, after spending a night and returning back in the evening I discovered that my room had been made up, bed made and towels re hung and my bags and personal belongings gone. I went to the bar seeking an explanation, as I was booked in for a 3 night stay. The bartender insisted that no one was staying in that room and I produced a pass key and was told that this could not happen, I asked what happened to my belongings and was told that she did not know as she had just started working here today. As I looked behind the bar I seen my bag and told her that was my belongings. She apologiesed for the inconvenience and booked me into another smaller room. I also had a six pack of beer taken from my original room fridge along with a 1.5l bottle of sprite, this was not with my belongings. Someone stole my beers and soft drink. Will...

Omg ! We celebrated my daughter 12th birthday and was very disappointed with food and staff.The food was burnt,fish was stale,sauce was watered down and very runny poorly made.The cheese on the schnitzel was square slices melted which represented a piece of chewy gum.Not to mention my wife got a complete different order which wasn't hers,Staff member made a mistake giving out bread rolls missing one of my family members.The presentation of the food and the cooking was very poor.No complaint on the Manager with experience in her field of work she was so ever understanding and refunded for three meals.We have been regular customers and never had a complaint on the hotel until now.Found out they got a new chef so sad they let there experience staff members go and there friendly customer...
