Delicious. Consistent. And as someone who could eat Vietnamese soups for every meal for the rest of my life, but whose friends are mostly vego or vegan, it's genuinely amazing to get such an awesome vego and vegan menu (a whole additional menu!) at such a genuinely authentic Vietnamese restaurant.

Don't let their name deceive you, this 'cafe' is a full Vietnamese restaurant. Set up next to an Adelaide stalwart with lines out the front might seem a risky move, but these guys easily easily hold their own and have so much more to offer too! Apparently they do free karaoke on Friday and Saturday night, which I might actually give a shot one day if I can convince some pals (especially with discount hot pot!!!) but the rest of the time the vibe in here is so delightfully peaceful and friendly.

I'll always enjoy drifting around and trying different places, but Thu Ngan has quickly become a standout for me ESPECIALLY because I can finally eat my favourite food with my plant-based friends.

Don't sleep on...

Probably one of the best Pho in town; and I’ve been to all of them. The rare beef tastes fresh, the brisket is melty and juicy (as it should be), and the soup doesnt taste drowned in MSG. The chefs other foods taste equally great as we went with a large group to try the other foods.

This place is tucked in the corner of a block of pre-existing popular restaurants So doesn’t get the recognition it truly deserves.

If you’re looking for legitimately a good eat, with consistent quality, but without the fuss of a “fancy” or “hype” vibes and a more homey feel; this is the place. Perfect for winter eat outs and plenty reason to keep coming back for other menu items.

Atmosphere might feel different as its a repurposed internet cafe so the old decor is still around if that fusses you much. But if you can get over that, the food is brilliant and the chef is a very genuine guy.

This is truly one of those “don’t judge a book by its...

Nostalgic & Super dope dessert bar 🥰🍧. Amazing range of flavors for a truly authentic taste of vietnamese culture. Took me way back to when I traveled there. Good prices and really refreshing in these hot covid summers! The owners are partnered with an internet cafe IN THE SAME BUILDING🤯. The vibrant graffiti art on the walls and row of the latest computers tech made it feel like an underground hip hop scene 🔥. It's also conviently close to the shopping centre, I've seen mums drop of their kids at the cafe for a 2 hour session, while she went for some retail therapy & some peace/quiet 😂 and the kid was (more than) happy to play fortnite 🕹🎮. Highly...

This is my second time having food from here, and I've never had banh mi before. Vegan, too! It's delicious, fresh, flavoursome, and only $6! The staff are absolutely lovely, with the lady recommending me a vegan Vietnamese iced coffee- which I didn't even know existed. It tastes fantastic! The cafe has such a wonderful atmosphere. Lovely music, low pretty lighting, decor and just everything. I need to come back for a sit down meal with my friends.
