I will rate this restaurant with just one star due to concerns about safety and threats to the well-being of patrons. I've been a patron of this restaurant for the past two years and have always enjoyed great food and excellent service, particularly from the elderly gentleman who often serves. However, during my recent visit with a friend, I encountered some issues. The gentleman seemed rushed, and when I ordered a kabali pulao and a roll, he informed me that they were out of wraps for the roll and asked if he could use a different one, which I agreed to.
However, when the food arrived, the roll was cold and had an unpleasant odor, as it looks the wrap of roll had been stored in a fridge for ages. I politely asked the gentleman to warm it up atleast, but he became defensive and insisted it was fresh. Additionally, when I requested extra spoon and fork/knife for sharing the kabuli pulao with my friend, he unexpectedly asked me that it will be extra $5 for cutlery, which made me feel uncomfortable and embarrassed.
Feeling uneasy about the situation, I decided it was best to leave without consuming any of the food. However, the gentleman became aggressive, demanding payment for the uneaten meal. His behaviour escalated to the point where he and his friend physically assaulted me, threatening me with a cricket bat.
Fearing for my safety, I had to involve the authorities and report the incident to the police, urging them to take appropriate action against this unacceptable behaviour. I will rate this restaurant with just one star due to concerns about safety and threats to the...
Read moreThis place is a simple charcoal bbq takeaway place but there are also a few tables inside for those who prefer to dine in.
Menu is not extensive but enough to offer a choice of kebabs (lamb, chicken, minced lamb), grilled half chicken, lamb shank, biryani, steamed dumplings, samosas, and about three vegetarian options.
We had the chicken and minced lamb kebab chalaw. The chalaw comes with the meat, rice, salad, flat bread, a yoghurt dip and crushed vinegared green chillies sauce. We asked âwhatâs the green sauce? Oh. Itâs a few green things and vinegarâ. Did I mention the charcoal bbq? Oh wow. The minced lamb and chicken cubes were super tender, and the flavour of the charcoal grill simply elevates it to the level. The chilli sauce and yoghurt cuts through the meat. The servings were very generous and we left with a full belly and a big smile.
There are a few soft drink choices in the fridge. There is also complimentary black or green tea which you help yourself to.
Service was quick and staff very courteous and obliging.
Street parking or parking at the adjacent local pub.
No photos but you can google the restaurant and thereâs enough photos there. You get whatâs in the photo.
Will return to try other things...

The taste of home-cooked Afghan food here is an experience you wonât forget. No bells and whistlesâjust amazing, succulent, mouthwatering dishes that truly satisfy. Pure Afghan cuisine, nothing else. Every dish is traditionally cooked, and the flavors are incredible. I wasnât even hungry when I arrived, but as soon as the aroma hit me, my appetite kicked in. One bite of the lamb kabob, and it was game on. Value for money? Absolutely. My family was starving, and we still had enough leftovers to take home more than a full meal. See photo as proof. Even the tea is authentic and...
