Arz Charcoal Chicken — Restaurant in Adelaide

usually don’t write negative reviews, but my experience at this restaurant was disappointing enough that I feel I should. I will be honest and say that the food was good.

From the moment I walked in, the staff were extremely rude and dismissive. Instead of greeting us politely, they acted as though serving customers was an inconvenience. When we asked a simple question about the menu, the response was short, impatient, and almost hostile, as if we were wasting their time.

Throughout the meal, it didn’t get better. Requests for water or basic service were ignored or met with eye-rolling. At one point, a staff member actually spoke to us in the rudest way ever.

The atmosphere of a restaurant is not just about the food which was good I won’t deny that, it’s about how guests are treated. No matter how good the menu might be, the rudeness and lack of respect shown by the staff made the entire experience unpleasant.

Me and a group of friends dined in and first we shared a selection of dips which came with a couple of types of pickles. It's here I have to add that everything is homemade and delicious! Then we had a beef dish drizzled with a tahini sauce. There was so much of it that those who ordered it couldn't finish it! We also had a chicken dish which was cooked over the coals with lovely and subtle spices and it came with really tasty chips. The garlic sauce that came with the chicken was something new for me. I had never tried anything like it before. Once again the flavour was subtle, not over powering and so creamy. Best ever! And when I mean ever I mean the BEST chicken in the world (not just Adelaide)! We have been ordering Arz for years now from Uber Eats, we use to live close-by but even now being further away we still pay extra to get it delivered! The flavour is unbelievable, the chicken is tender, the garlic sauce is delicious, the salad is amazing and the chips are crispy! There’s nothing better, my partner and I wait in anticipation to have this for dinner! My partner use to be a chef and he honestly won’t order from anywhere else but Arz.
