Worst bagel I've ever had, a sliver of avocado threw it in the bin and going to head to staples at south Freo for a real bagel. Staff weren't friendly, all looked miserable no atmosphere at all. Was made to feel so uncomfortable because i couldn't order from outside due to their system not allowing me to order as a take away. I carried my small dog in on my hip to quickly order the take away. The cafe had kids sitting on tables picking their noses with teething toys on the tables. All staff have loose hair beards around food prep areas. I was told when i got to the till I cant order a take away because im Holding my dog. 1 staff member helped me order but his awkwardness made me not even want to order and if i hadn't been hungry i wouldn't have bothered and i wish i didn't the bagel was that bad. Just found out a family member in the uk has passed away and have no energy to cook for myself just needed a little bit of human decency and kindness this morning These staff need to do a course on customer service and how to talk to people and some general courtesy you never know what someone is going through and you could make a difference to their day. Jittery and clunky service which can be forgiven as Venn has just recently open. I ordered two dine in coffees. I received one dine in cup and one takeaway ? What cannot be chalked up to rookie error was the watery, mean, thin and weak coffee a (dbl cappuccino) which was not the cup of velvety, smooth, strong, joy that it should have been. (easiest coffee to make, you get to hide an average coffee behind lots of milk and chocolate powder) Ordered an espresso too. This was marginally better albeit slightly under extracted and green tasting. Amazing coffee! Baristas really know what they’re doing. Some of the best coffee in Perth and super affordable for the quality, can easily get a bagel and a coffee for under $20 and it’s delicious!
