Stammers Tearooms — Restaurant in Western Australia

I'm surprised no one has provided a review of Bing's Stammer's Tearooms in the Stammers shopping complex in Palmyra.

This spot is a hidden secret, and deserves to be more well known, particularly in terms of value.

All the food available here is cooked on premises, and all the pies, pasties and sausage rolls are made there too. My favourite pie is the Mushroom Pie with sauce. The chips are good too. Other goodies are the roast beef and roast pork rolls with gravy.

I consider that the "Work Burger", cooked to order, is possibly the best hamburger available in the surrounding 5km. Much better and cheaper than across the road at the Burger shop. The Work burger is a beef pattie, with bacon, egg, cheese, beetroot and salad all on a decent bun. A real meal, and very tasty. Choose BBQ or Tomato sauce when you order.

Many regulars come for the roast lunches - good old fashioned style. I also like the chicken curry (I think served on Thursdays). Staff are friendly and service is prompt. Not bad for a good salad roll made to order.

The choice of drinks is a bit limited, and I don't have coffee here so I can't comment on that, but their Chocolate Milkshake is a blast from the past.

It's average as far as cafes go. I had to travel for work and this became the closest coffee establishment. However after 2 coffees I would say give the coffee a miss. It's not worth it.
