We have visited this business a couple of times, but our recent visit left us very disappointed. While they offer a commendable selection of cheeses, it is worth noting that the prices can be quite high, with some varieties reaching up to $130 per kilogram, and most falling around the $100 mark. However, our main grief stems from the "sliced" cheese we purchased during our most recent visit. Unfortunately, the quality of the slices was subpar, resulting in a good portion of our pruchase being made up by something that could be better described as clumps or lumps of cheese. But even the few pieces that were sliced appeared very inconsistent in size and thickness. Considering the premium prices charged by this establishment, I would definitely expect better quality and attention to detail. However, the underwhelming experience left us dissatisfied.

I had heard a lot about this place from my partner and she has brought home plenty of their products which have all been incredible. I went into their store today to try one of their sandwiches for the first time after my partner had been raving about them. Safe to say I will be also. I have already advertised the shop to the entirety of my workplace because it's just that good. What I ordered: The Orangina drink was refreshing and delicious and to eat I got the ploughman sandwich with ham, so good. I would absolutely recommend! I'll definitely be back to make my way through their wide selection of cheeses and to place an order for their advent calendar. I didn't have to twist my coworkers arms too hard to convince them to check it out. The food speaks for itself.

My sisters and I have been wanting to try this place for a sit down wine and cheese experience after tasting the cheese at the Jan Power markets. It was worth the wait! Choose and pay for what you want for your charcuterie from the vast collection of cheese, meats and all the other condiments, and Stephanie will put it altogether for you. We added a rosé from their selection of wines, per her recommendation also. We also took home what we couldn’t finish. Stephanie packaged it all up for us. We also enjoyed the walnut liqueur. Highly recommend.

My mum and I discovered this shop at the Brisbane French Festival a few years back (I think 2016?) and have been loyal customers ever since. We love their cheeses, especially the Cremeux de Bourgogne is one of my favourites. We usually also buy Raclette cheese, as most of the times when we do a cheese order it’s because we have planned a raclette. In the last almost decade of buying cheese here, I have never had a problem with the quality of the products or the customer service, until now. Last month I put in an order for the usual as we had guests from France staying with us (one of them is a chef in high end fancy restaurants by the way) and they wanted to do a Raclette. I think I ate one slice of cheese and could not continue; the taste was way too strong and bitey, the inside of the rind area of the cheese was quite dark compared to the rest of it, it was in fact inedible. My guests (from France, and a chef) also agreed that Raclette cheese should NEVER be allowed to age this much and they also were unable to eat too much of it; they did not enjoy it either (you know you have a problem when French people aren’t enjoying eating cheese). Seeing as the cheese I had paid so much for was a disappointment and was likely going to be fed to the chickens, I decided to email the shop to request a refund for the Raclette cheese. I mean it happens that a product has aged unfavourably and they might not have known it was inedible and you know, mistakes happen that’s ok. Up until this point I was fine with the whole process, but it's the phone call from the owner that made me decide to write this review. I felt like he was trying, rather arrogantly, to mansplain to me that cheeses can be strong and that tastes vary from person to person, and that maybe I just don’t like strong flavoured cheese (it’s true I don’t). I felt like he wasn’t listening to me and my concerns, but rather preferred to justify himself in order to get out of refunding me. If I was someone who had never had raclette cheese in my life, he probably would have managed to convince me that I was wrong and chose the wrong cheese, but unfortunately he picked the wrong person to pick on as I grew up in France and have NEVER in my 12 years living there (plus 20 years having Raclettes here), had a Raclette cheese that tasted like this. I tried to explain that the fact that my guests complained means something, and they should know a thing or two about Raclette cheese, but he brushed that off as meaningless. The moment I told him I was also French and have years of experience eating Raclette and have never eaten one like this, he seemed to flip and settled for the refund. It disappoints me to see how customer un-friendly he was being, trying to make me believe it’s my tastes that are the problem, to finally begrudgedly offering the refund when he saw I wasn’t backing down on this one. I am unsure if I will order from them again...

An absolute , and a must do experience if you are a cheese lover. This small boutique filled to the brim, but yet spacious is situated in Morningside where you will find not only cheeses, but also shelves of pâtés, fresh and conserves including other products that you can add to your cheese platters.

Not forgetting a great choice of wines and condiments.

The owners Pierre and Stephanie (including staff members) are knowledgeable and passionate , and will take their time for you to taste different cheeses , whilst learning where and how these products were made.

A website is available for more information and when you visit don't forget to great them with a Bonjour.

I would rate this boutique more than 5 stars 🌟 if more were available.

P.S try one of their freshly made baguette sandwiches to take with you. Whilst buying a baguette to take home. You will not leave empty handed , once you have entered this Ali Baba cheese...

Based near Westpac in Morningside, on Wynnum Rd. Good parking.

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING - for people who enjoy imported and local cheeses, sausages, wine, bread, cheese accessories etc.

The service by owners, Remi and Stephanie is highly professional, happy, welcoming and knowledgeable. They LOVE their business and products. Their recommendations, how to present/eat a cheese, accompaniments, and how to enjoy their products, is great.

They hold cheese and wine tasting and cheese cooking classes, which fill quickly as they are unique and small. Be quick!

I save up to visit Le Fromage Yard. I've bought raclette cooking units and a caste iron fondue set. Along with cheese and French sausages. They bake true French baguettes on the premises.

Their website is clean, informative, and supplies recipes. If you're a lover of cheese, French food, quick baguette lunch, fun friendly owners, this establishment is a MUST...
