Indian Brothers — Restaurant in Brisbane City

I wish I could give this place an 0 star. Indian brothers curries is the worst indian food i’ve ever had. We ordered butter chicken which was so watery and had no spice. The curry tasted like watered down butter and tomato soup. The chicken was so bland it just had a chewy chicken texture. We also ordered dal and it tasted like old minestrone soup. Each time we took a bite we thought it would get better but in the end it was nothing but the worst Indian food we have ever had. The naan bread was thicker than a bowl of oatmeal. The onion pratha was hard that I could use it as a hammer. We also ordered coconut rice and it was so sweet that it tasted like dessert. Such amazing food tucked away in an un assuming location! The food is absolutely delicious, with rich, saucey curries and freshly made naan bread which is generously stuffed with whatever toppings you request (sometimes I walk past on my way to another food shop and pop in just for the naan). The people who work there are super friendly and kind; the ladies who help at the front are helpful and patient, and one time when I expressed curiosity in how the naan was made, the gentleman let me come around and watch the process (far out those ovens are hot!). And they have multiple vegetarian options too which dont feel at all like you are missing out compared to the meat dishes. It’s really unfortunate to say but this food was very disappointing, I usually stay away from giving bad reviews because I know that everyone store has it bad moments.

For starters my food had at-least 1-3 hairs in it, two stuck in the rim of the containers and one sitting in the rice, I work in the food industry and I know the damage a claim like that can do, but this honestly shocked me. Despite that making it harder to eat the curry itself was very watered down and had very minimal flavour, Indian food is one of my favourite meals but this was just disappointing.
