Don’t even know where to begin. Used to come here for Serbian food which was amazing, then it’s changed into Filippino restaurant, which we were all excited to come over and try it out yesterday at its grand opening night.
To be fair, the food wasn’t bad, we ordered Sisic which was delicious. But we’ve waited 2 hours for our food to arrive, and they kept coming out with the wrong orders. We’ve ordered a side of garlic rice and Java rice. They came out with two bowls of Java rice. We just politely informed them of which. After 30 minutes, they came out with a new bowl of Java rice. Again, we politely clarified we were waiting for garlic rice. After another 30 minutes, they came out with another bowl of Java rice. By that time we had already been waiting till 9pm so we just decided to cancel the order and leave. The second disappointment is with the steak we’ve ordered, they had used the wrong cut of meat ( which’s supposed to be stewed or slow cooked) for chargrill and we couldn’t even use our fork and knife to cut through the meat. We tried so hard chewing it through but we couldn’t. So we asked to replace the dish and waited another hour for a grilled chicken which was average.
The staff were so uncoordinated and the lady who’s the manager was really rude and unapologetic. We noticed all the other tables around us were still waiting for their food even though some arrived earlier than we did , and they kept bringing out the wrong orders to those tables too so one of them just barged out of the restaurant after waiting for 3 hours🙄 Most people also didn’t look happy when they left.
It’s a shame, we wanted to support new business in Brisbane, but their customer service was really bad (even though they’ve only just started operating). And they obviously look like they couldn’t care less when people complained about the long wait time and poor service. If you were to sustain your business in the long run, this is something you really have...
Read moreI have never tried Balkan food before and was keen to try it, so I visited mid-week for a late lunch with a friend. We ordered the steak and the pork dishes.
After some time, the waitress brought out my friends flank steak and what appeared to be a burger for myself. As soon as she placed the dish in front of me she picked it back up straight away acknowledging the burger was the wrong order, it was meant to be a pork dish.
My friend began her meal, but slowly so my dish had time to come out and we could actually eat together. My friend was halfway through her steak dish by the time my pork dish arrived - the waitress apologised for the delay and mix-up. The dish looked magnificent , appeared to be a rolled piece of pork perfectly crumbed and fried - I was excited to tuck in. I cut into the middle to see the layers and discovered that the pork was raw, I don't mean cooked with a juicy blush of pink, everything from the colour to the texture told me it was indeed raw. I asked the waitress her opinion if this pork appeared raw or if I was imagining it, (I've never had Balkan food before perhaps it is meant to be raw? but from my own personal knowledge one should avoid eating raw pork) - she replied that she didn't think so, but was obliging enough to take it back to the kitchen. The waitress advised that they would make me another pork dish. By the time my meal came out my friend had finished her steak meal, and my appetite had waned, so I was not as enthusiastic for my meal.
As much as I wanted to enjoy my first experience with Balkan food, I was left feeling quite disappointed - from the mix-up with the burger to being served raw pork. Plus it's always nice to eat meals at the same time as the...
Read moreSaw this restaurant on Eat Club, thought, give it a try, Wednesday night not busy at all, waitress and chef (OWNER)were freindly. Menu has a great selection, OK so this Neapalanese cusine so it will be a little spicy. Start we had Steamed Chicken MoMos came with 2 dip sauce selections one was spicy , hint of corriander, the other was a sesame based mild sauce both nice. We ordered the Goat curry and Lamb ribs both very nice plenty of flavour, but i felt the meat cuts were a little fatty and watch the bones in the goat curry. waitress did warn us, also watch out for the pickled radish if you dont like a bit of heat, top it we had a banoffee pie which was delicious. As an eat club card holder we received a great discount. ATMOSPHERE and service i will rate 4.5. This place would have more atmosphere on weekend night i think FOOD 3.5 Price approx 40 per head drink and dessert included. chef cooks in an open kitchen so its good to see his cooking skills at work.
