Just finished the steampunk adventure at Quest, and it was fantastic! I loved how they integrated advanced tech; no locks or keys, everything was electronic. The puzzles were challenging but not frustrating, striking a perfect balance. My father and I completed the 90-minute experience with just 3 minutes and 36 seconds left! Special thanks to Lex, the manager, who made our experience truly unique. Not only was he super helpful during booking and the game itself, but he also went the extra mile to personalize the adventure for my dad’s birthday. Lex included six custom messages and three images I had sent in advance, which were revealed as we progressed. In total, nine secrets unlocked, adding a personal and heartwarming layer to the experience. If you’re looking for an engaging and immersive escape room, Quest’s steampunk adventure is highly recommended!

I booked for the Sherlock Holmes room with 3 friends. I have done 22 escape rooms across Brisbane and this one was different from start to finish. First of all, when our quest guide (named Lex) gave us the spiel of the guidelines, and our background info of the room, he was SO entertaining. We really enjoyed it, and it got us pumped ready to go. The room itself had different style puzzles and used technologies I haven’t seen in many other rooms. At the end, Lex took the time to answer any questions we had, and explained how the puzzles worked. We then had a photo opportunity after we exited the room where Lex was SO fun and took lots of photos! Honestly it was a 10/10 experience and I am so excited to go back for more.

Quest Rooms for us so far has been an amazing time, we've only done 2 rooms, Sherlock and The Flying Dutchman and both rooms put your detective skills to the test. Unlike some escape rooms, everything feels flowing and like it's meant to be there, not forced and leaving you think how on Earth is that even relevant. The staff here, although quirky, are amazing, friendly, helpful, and just enough cheeky to keep you giggling for your entire time there. We are actually pumped to do more of their rooms and have even discussed how bummed we're going to be once we've done them all. Just be careful when they take your photos, there's no warning and they catch you looking silly mid pose.

Overall the escape room we did (Group of 4 - Sherlock) was good (difficulty rating was 4/5 but we felt like it was more of a 3/5). It could’ve definitely used some more puzzles in my opinion. Originally I rated the experience a 2 star out of 5 on google due to poor customer service from one of the staff members (He was rude and didn't greet us at all - instead stared at us in a pathetic and uninterested expression for 3 minutes outside in the dark (8:40pm was our slot) before allowing us in the building. My friends were completely thrown off by this, so when he asked “is this your first time” they couldn’t answer! to which the staff said “can you guys not talk?” In a passive tone. He then continued making more snarky remarks as we were filling out the consent form, and then accused us of losing pieces to the puzzle when we made a mistake during the game. This left a sour taste in our mouth!

HOWEVER, after posting the initial Google review, venue Manager Lex contacted us the day after to address the issue. He was sincerely apologetic and offered us a complimentary session to make up for the night before! Thank you Lex for being super professional about the matter, and taking our feedback on. You are an AMAZING room master and turned the experience right around, and demonstrated exactly what a great escape room experience should be like! The Orphanage is a must do for anyone seeking a little thrill in their session.

I'm glad we decided to give Quest Room another go, and do look forward to coming back and seeing improvements...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Brilliant – A Steampunk Adventure with Class!

We recently tackled the Steampunk room at Quest Room Brisbane with our crew from Excaproom with Class — and wow, what a ride! This room was completely out of our comfort zone, but in the best way possible. It was packed with clever puzzles, hidden doors, and just the right amount of challenge to keep us guessing (and laughing) the whole way through.

The staff were absolute legends — they went above and beyond to make sure our experience was memorable from start to finish. One quirky twist: you're not allowed to bring electronics into the room (which makes total sense), so I started using whatever I had on me… including my rings. Turns out, I accidentally left one behind — my wedding ring, no less! 😅

I didn’t realise until I got home at 2 a.m., but when I called the next morning, the owner was incredibly helpful. He found it within minutes and kept it safe for me to collect later that day. I was so grateful — talk about attention to detail and top-tier customer care!

We’ll definitely be back to take on the next room. If you’re looking for a challenge, a laugh, and a team that truly cares, Quest Room Brisbane is the place to...

First time escape roomies here and went with Quest room as we saw the reviews were really good.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Sherlocked room. The aesthetics, the tasks, everything exceeded our expectations. You can see the effort and thought that went into and we appreciated every bit of it. Very helpful quest master who also gave us more time to complete the room which we were very grateful for.

Only thing I could really critique on was before we started our “quest”. Being first timers not knowing what to expect I was taken back by our quest master in the beginning. I understand playing a character, which is fine, but was a bit too much (came off a bit too obnoxious) that for a second I thought I had paid for a Karen’s escape room. Did really throw me off being first timers. No issues at all with going over rules etc and ensuring that people aren’t prideful but didn’t think we were giving off those vibes to begin with.

Aside from that he was a great quest master and had good banter at the end (which I wish was how it started).

Still had a really good experience (hence the 5 stars :))We definitely will be back to check out the other rooms and will be recommending to...
