No entrance fee, thats the most important. Easy transportstion access by private car , bus or train. The view is amazing. Massive area yet it was built where walking and sight seeing is a transition. You can see beautiful landscape of flowers along the path. Close encounters of birds and the tricky face face to face of comota dragons which are plenty in the area. The spectacular display of water fountain. Feel the mist of the cascading water in their man made water falls, as it touches your skin and face, it was refreshing. You can also see the wide varieties of plants and flowers in their botanical garden. They also have little bridges that serves as walkway to take you to another view, stairs of short distance are part of the many ways as you walk your way to the park. Id say its the best way to enjoy the scenic views and have your walking exercise at the same time. After the long walk you can sit, eat and relax in their shaded picnic area. If you plan on having a barbecue with freinds, go ahead because they have grills that you can use and its free. Water is close to the picnic area so its not a hassle. Toilets are very neat and clean too. . It was a beautiful experience for me and my sisters to spend time together and bond. Overall , Parkland is the best place to enjoy nature, take beautiful pictures, to eat a take away food and enjoy the quiet and peacefull place. Before i forget i would like to special mention the main attraction that meets everyone as you enter parkland , their magnificent water falls. Superb and breathtaking. Parkland is highly recommended for not just tourists but for all to visit.

A Tranquil Oasis in the Heart of Brisbane! Roma Street Parklands is an absolute gem nestled in the heart of Brisbane City, and it's one of my favorite spots for escaping the hustle and bustle of urban life. This place is a true haven for nature lovers and anyone seeking a peaceful retreat amidst the city's chaos. The first thing that strikes you when you enter the parklands is the sheer beauty of the greenery that envelops you. Lush, well-maintained gardens, vibrant flowers, and towering trees create a picturesque setting that's perfect for a leisurely stroll, a picnic with friends and family, or simply some me-time. One of my favorite features of this park is the open amphitheater. The amphitheater is surrounded by natural beauty, which adds an enchanting atmosphere to any event. Location-wise, Roma Street Parklands couldn't be more convenient. Situated right in the heart of Brisbane City, it's easily accessible by public transport, including trains and buses. Whether you're a local looking for a quick escape or a tourist exploring Brisbane, this park is a must-visit. Whether you're seeking solitude, a romantic date spot, or a place for a family outing, Roma Street Parklands has something for everyone. I highly recommend this urban oasis to anyone looking to immerse themselves in nature's beauty without leaving the city behind. It's a five-star experience all the way!

Every Year it just gets bigger. … But it us a must do Christmas Activity For the whole family. Picture this: lush greenery illuminated by twinkling faery lights, winding pathways that seem to lead to another world, and a soft, ethereal glow that makes the whole park feel alive with enchantment. Walking through the gardens at night feels like stepping into a world where magic faeries might actually exist. You can almost hear them giggling in the bushes or flitting about in the glow of the lanterns. The lights are perfectly placed to highlight the natural beauty of the park, casting a spell over everyone who visits. The pathways are lined with a kaleidoscope of colours—golden yellows, soft pinks, and dreamy blues. Each corner you turn reveals another surprise, whether it’s a shimmering fountain, a hidden nook wrapped in light, or a canopy of trees dripping with glowing orbs. It’s all designed to feel like a secret garden, just for you to explore. Now, let’s talk about the real stars of the show: the magic faeries. Okay, maybe they’re not actually real, but the vibe is there. The lights are so delicately arranged that it’s easy to imagine little wings fluttering in the shadows. The whole experience feels alive, as if the faeries themselves are guiding you through their mystical world. And honestly, who wouldn’t want to believe in a bit of magic every now and then.

A very relaxing place to visit in contrast to the hustle and bustle of the city. There are multiple zones through the parkland dedicated to different types of garden and flora. Many flower beds are in full bloom, with others not far away. Fragrance permeates the air combined with vivid colours, which can be appreciated by all. The park has multiple seating and viewing areas where people can stop and enjoy their surroundings. The one detraction from this is the multiple signs everywhere telling you what you can't do. Accessibility is good for all throughout the park via wide pathways, which is great for those who are mobility restricted. There are picnic and fantastic playground areas catering to families. There are multiple picnic sites with BBQs. The playgrounds are integrated with the gardens and the terrain, allowing for a great experience for the younger ones. There are ample public facilities (toilets, baby change, etc) which are well maintained and clean. There are also cafe/shop options. However, the ones internal to the parkland are only open on weekends. I appreciated the ANZAC corner, which had a very well maintained area for quite remembrance. It is a small annoyance, but it is a pity that the external entrances are so far apart. It is a great place to visit with something new to see/discover every time you wander in.

From the moment you step into this lush paradise, you're greeted with a sense of tranquility that is hard to find in the bustling cityscape. The park's well-manicured lawns, vibrant flower beds, and towering trees offer a picturesque escape that invigorates the soul.
