We came to this restaurant after driving from Sydney and wanted to sit and have a proper meal..Firstly the front door was so flimsy to open and would make a sound upon opening..As we got inside the lady said "YES" pretty rude..like hello it's not a department store..obviously we came for food what else..we said we wanted to place a order..she said sorry you wouldn't be able to make anything as we about to close soon..we said that's ok well we're actually wanting to sit and eat and would look elsewhere... I was about to leave then she said..we can make your food only as takeaway..we agreed and said that's fine we will take that home as we lived like 20 min away and we're tired and thought sitting down and placing order might take long..she gave us the menu and we made started to select the food..my kids were playing around as the restaurant was empty and she gave my kids someone from the counter candy jar..I saw the Jar had no lid and is left like that the entire time collecting dust on the candy...I saw my kids eating those and asked who gave them those..the lady was like they are enjoying it...as I parent I don't approve others trying to fed my kids without approval...while a chef came from the kitchen and asked the lady how long..seeing their reaction,we quickly placed the order and asked if rice is served...as it mainly does in all Indian dishes..she was sorry that's extra..you have to pay for it..( so basically in this restaurant, if one orders a meal, it only comes with CURRY) with NO BASE such as RICE or NAAN to be CLEAR..now how can a meal come with no base...it's not a one dish meal...can this be explained..we ordered our curry along with naans and headed outside to sit on the table..while waiting there were numerous flies and on the front outside the main doorwere 2 cockroachs..we regretted placing out orders here as the money was already taken..soon our order came and the lady came without saying anything to us..gave us our order..I had enough of their service..I checked their food and saw the chunks of tandoor meat in my curry..that's not how a non veg meal indian meal is made...I had such a bed experience seeing all this..that I lost my appetite... This restaurant doesn't even deserve 1 star honestly....spend your money else where where hygiene, food and attitude are all aligned..As a indain,I would like to help other Indians in their small business but all faith is always lost with all Indian business owners...let it be restaurant, party, utensils business, they only...
Read moreI've only had home delivery three times from here, so I can't rate inside the restaurant. My home delivery experience was extremely good. Lamb vindaloo was cooked with tender quality meat that just falls apart with a fork served in a well balanced spicy sauce, perfect sauce thickness. The onion bhaji is the best I've ever had from anywhere ever, I could tell it was made fresh for my order because the bhaji was moist inside and super crunchy outside with a delicate balance of spice that is super yummy, it comes with a delicious mint yoghurt dipping sauce. The Madras curry I had with chicken, the sauce tasted very fresh, it's got a pleasant coconut flavour but a little bit less sweet would take it from great to perfect. Saagwala I had with chicken, the amount of spinach was very generous and again well balanced flavour. The Malai kofta is the only vegetable dish I have tried so far, it was made of several bite size potatoe and cheese balls in a rich & creamy sauce, the additional cashews were fantastic for textually lifting the dish, I really liked it. The cheese + spinach naan also garlic + cheese naan both were excellent! The plain basmati rice is delicious too, soft, fluffy, moist just really clean & well cooked. Pappadums arrived in perfect condition, not broken, not over cooked like some other places. I really highly recommend all the above mentioned dishes. I am looking forward to trying something new from here next...
Read moreWell we had a groupon for this place and you would expect that their customer service would be good as they are wanting to create more business - thats why you go on groupon. We wanted to book a table for later the same day which they rudely refused not because they were booked out but because they said we only allocated a few tables to groupon customers per night. The groupon did not include daily restrictions nor minimum booking periods. We adhered to everything. They said if you dont like it take it up with groupon and get a refund.
Rather than going through that hassel in getting a refund we booked a table online for a few days later. Going there it wasnt that busy there were plenty of tables still free so they shouldnt be pushing business back. The food wasnt bad but wasnt that good either. They also only allowed one entree rather than one per person. Entree wasnt big enough to share. Funny another couple voiced their concerns about this quite loudly once they found this out. They also made a mistake with my main and served chicken not lamb wasnt worth the wait to get it redone. Finally they pre picked the dessert which was the smallest ice cream though i wanted to order another dessert.
Their groupon didnt say set menu nor 1 entree to share. They really need to improve their customer service and quality of food / portions. We left...
