Kaffe European — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

Coffee was burnt and yucky, worst coffee I’ve had in ages. Cakes and icecream were not nice at all, we had sour cherry crumble and beesting. Sour Cherry crumble was overly sweet and lacking flavour, and the beesting was filled with what tasted like icing sugar mixed with fake can cream despite the waitress saying it was real cream. Both looked lovely but completely lacked flavour, like those fake cakes you see in Chinese bread shops that aren’t traditional. We left more than half of all of the above and staff did not even care or ask why.

The French breads were the only nice thing we tried here.

Staff were notified of poor food and drink quality and did not respond at all, just collected the unconsumed remains and took them away.

EDIT IN RESPONSE TO BELOW: I am German, I can tell you the German cakes are not based on any kind of traditional flavour. Germans do not use artificial cream. Have returned to give the coffee a second chance. Same experience. Very burnt flavour, and poorly made, and no staff response, sorry.

Ice-chocolate was very watery, could have used some more chocolate syrup and less ice, but that might just be a person preference! The Icecream was good quality, tasted amazing and added to the flavour of the drink. Mango smoothie was very good, fresh real mango pieces, tasted amazing and the potion was good. Shame they didn’t do takeaways because we would have got two more to go!

German Hotdog (add cheese): Wish there were chips! Would have made it a 10/10 for me! The kranski was amazing, cooked nice and crispy. I didn’t personally enjoy the mustard as it tasted very strong and overpowering, and it didn’t have a nice flavour. But the hotdog itself was really enjoyable and I would definitely order it again!

Bacon and egg burger (add cheese): was really good price for how huge it was! The egg was nice and runny, the bacon was cooked perfectly and it was delicious!

The service was amazing, the lady who started at 11 (4th April) had the most amazing and inviting smile, she was amazing at serving us and was just so lovely, she made the whole experience even...

Arrived with our group of 8 and ordered food in two transactions directly after the other. Cafe was not booked out. Half of us had to wait 30mins after the first half of our group to receive our breaky. Disappointing when you order a coffee and juice to have with breakfast but you can't have them together.. even harder when you have hungry kids. All of our family had finished their meal and two had left by the time the last of us received theirs. Shame we couldn't eat together. We politely asked twice if they had forgotten us or a mix up. The second time I suggested we just receive a refund if they hadn't started making it yet. They said they were just plating up now.. yet it was still another 10mins after that. We decided we would only leave a review if they made no form of apology.. and alas they did not. We didn't want anything for free, and still don't. Just an apology would have surficed. Quality of food was really nice and prices for food, coffee and drinks was excellent. Really good selection of options...
