Great value for money, you won’t really find this type of bbq anywhere else on the GC for this price. I love this place and have been a couple of times.

There’s just one thing. The mac and cheese is so, so bad. The sauce is super runny and extremely bland. It somehow doesn’t even really taste cheesy - just straight up tastes like nothing.

I thought we just got a bad batch the first time, but when we tried again it was the exact same. I can’t even understand how the rest of the food can be so good, yet the owners somehow haven’t realised the mac and cheese is that bad. Because i’m sure with the meat and the cornbread etc they must have done alot of research into learning how to do american bbq - but it’s like they just skipped over the mac and cheese?

Marcus for the love of god please look up a southern mac and cheese recipe. There’s hundreds of them out there on tiktok. Will take you 10 minutes to find a much better recipe that you can copy or at least apply parts of to your own. If you can’t be bothered doing that, at least add some sharper/more flavourful cheese, thicken up the sauce, add some seasoning - something? It’s like eating easy mac but somehow even less flavourful.

I’m fully aware i sound like an absolute nutter rn rambling about mac and cheese, but i’m deadset saying this because i like the place and genuinely want them to improve on this. I’m gonna go back in a couple weeks and if the mac and cheese is better I’ll change to 5 stars and...

Honest opinion on this place. Overall everything is good, food portions, pricing, quality, the workers, all amazing. Just some little things I think should be improved, in my opinion atleast. I got the loaded fries, wings with hot sauce, birria tacos and Hawaiian punch. The Hawaiian punch in my opinion and at the time was a little bit too strong but once mixed with some water, it was the perfect mix for myself atleast. The birria tacos, everything inside it was good and delicious, the sauce itself was very good, but the tortilla gave a little burnt taste but wasn’t overly burnt which still made it very tasty and delicious. The wings were very good! Smoked and the sauce was good, the hot sauce was more like relish but still very good, nothing bad I can say about them. The loaded fries was my favourite, good portion size, meat, fries, sauce, everything was good about it. Overall though everything was amazing and definitely will be coming back. We went to The Butt Hutt today after hearing all the good things about it. We definitely weren’t disappointed. They’re super busy so there was a little wait on the food but nothing to fuss about. We had the birria tacos and upgraded to beef brisket for an extra $4 as I don’t eat pork. The food was really tasty, couldn’t fault it! And very filling! The only feedback I’d give and it’s neither here nor there, but the kids meals have heavily seasoned curly fries in them, and my friends 5 year old daughter was losing her mind a bit as she found them very spicy. They weren’t spicy for us when we tasted them, but had a strong seasoning on them so it was a bit much for her little taste buds… I can understand why she struggled. My only suggestion would be to offer plain salted fries for kids in the kids meals so they’re a bit more gentle on their little tongues. I’m not a huge brisket or pulled meat fan, but I wanted to try this place. I loved the tacos and I’d eat...
