Yolo Cafe — Restaurant in Gold Coast City

We are quite unsatisfied with our experience with your business today. the sandwiches were not ready when they were supposed to be even tho they were organised weeks in advanced.

The amount of sandwiches we received for the amount paid was not sufficient and the way I was spoken to was Extremely unprofessional and rude, You don't yell at your customers over the phone when you can't complete a couple of sandwiches for $55

Definitely don't get what you think you're getting it. Very miss leading

Reply to that reply as won't let me. unfortunately I had to change places due to weather so yes i change the time 6 days then again once 2 days before which the person who I spoken to was fine with it no one mention this "72 hour rule " ,even tho I asked either 10 or 1030 whatever was best for them and apologies about it few times. She sent the time 10am to come as I again asked what time would be best as I changed it and didn't want to stuff them around. It was for an important party and my sister went to pick up on the way to there it wasn't ready or even made even tho we had been told it would be! she waited then had to leave couldn't wait for food that was meant to be ready to picked up.. My wife and I are (were) regulars at this cafe until today 11/4/25 at lunchtime I met my wife there and we ordered 2 coffees and a toaster with a side of chips. After eating a few chips we realised that they had been served with a heavy serving of chicken salt on them. My wife is highly allergic to MSG which is commonly added to chicken salt. After explaining her condition to the manager who served us, the manager replied we don’t ask because we always put chicken salt on our chips. We both exclaimed that the general practice we have found is that establishments usually ask if you want normal or chicken salt. My wife asked if we could have a fresh serve of chips with normal salt. The manager said no we can’t do that. My wife then said well then I want my money back. The manager again said no. First time visit . Only 1 elderly gentleman dining besides myself . 2 staff members were completely ignorant to me standing at the counter for 15 minutes before being acknowledged and coming from the kitchen to serve. Multiple tables inside and out not cleared from previous diners. Ordered a simple toasted sandwich and a juice. Took 30 minutes to serve it despite one staff member making her own lunch and sitting down to eat, finishing it and then going back to make more food and coming back to eat.
