I’m not local to Burpengary, but made the 20 minute drive to Burpengary Fruit Market to change things up a bit in my otherwise standard back to work/school Sunday routine. Beautiful quality produce, clean and tidy store and really friendly staff. There were no pre cut watermelons on display (I assume I arrived shortly after they had opened) so I asked at the counter if it was possible to have a quarter cut up for me. I kept putting punnets back at the shop bc they all looked awful and bruised and went to get peaches instead and a worker insisted he would find me some ‘fresh strawberries’. Read moreFirst time shopping here, prices for apples was ridiculous considering the quality of the fruit, all of the apples were covered in heavy wax, after removing the wax and fake colouring to make the apples look shiny and fresh they looked absolutely disgusting, definitely not fresh fruit and won’t be returning here again.
