So I ordered bbq pork & rice without any veggies. After waiting 20 minutes for just this 1 meal I was walking out & noticed what looked like veggies through the container. I got in my car & opened it & saw mainly veggies. Hardly no meat & a little bit of rice. This is one of the reasons I didn’t want veggies. Secondly, I don’t eat any veggies. Call it what you want but it is what it is. Once again why I strictly asked for only pork & rice. I then went back into the store as I was very disappointed as well as spending more then what the menu said it costed. $14.60 it was meant to be & ended up costing me $16 for some reason? So once I took my meal back in the kid behind the counter was very unhelpful. Didn’t have any answers as to why it cost me more then the price on the menu & that if the chefs took out the veggies they would NOT compensate with extra pork or rice. I was going back & forth with the chefs & could not come to an understanding let alone an end result I was happy with. I then just said “fine pick out the veggies & I’ll just have a few bits of pork & the little amount of rice that you call a meal”. It then took them another 15 minutes to pull out the veggies. Safe to say I will not be wasting my time going here again. The food was satisfactory & the customer service was horrible. There are plenty of better places around that are happy to accommodate for...
Read moreMy husband and I went to the North garden Chinese restaurant for our 50th wedding anniversary on Fri 4th March and was so disappointed with the service and food we have been to the restaurant many times but I think it may have new owners. We both ordered entrees I ordered wontons and my husband the mix of prawn toast curry puff spring roll and not sure what the other was well the wontons weren’t recognizable so overcooked and inedible and same for my husbands entree then the main my husband had the sizzling Mongolian lamb which he always has well it was that salty not nice at all, my main was combination chow Mein well it was all chicken with one little piece of pork so I sent it back a man came out and said it will be on the bottom of the plate well I had already checked throughout the meal and nothing but he had put 2 yes 2 prawns and 2 small pieces of pork and it to was very salty, we politely complained and the only answer we got was he would talk to the cooks, well he has lost two regular customers and we won’t be recommending them to anyone, so disappointing as it was a very special dinner out...
Read moreI have been eating here for the past 7 years, probably every couple of months as a treat. Last month I ordered the chicken and corn soup & fried wonton. I noticed the wonton are now covered in a batter. Didn't love them, but thought it was a one off. Ordered there tonight. Noticed they have new owners. Can't say I will be back. The new chef needs to lay off the salt. Never had salty chicken & corn soup. I also ordered the combination chow mien with crispy noodles. The new owners feel the need to fill half the container with egg noodles before they actually put in the meat & veggies. What the heck? The old chef would fill the container with meat and veggies and that was it. It's like paying for half a meal now. I also had to wait 25 minutes after calling 30 minutes before hand. The 3 waitresses were very busy, looking busy, but there were only 3 tables occupied. I don't usually have a rant, but when you eat at the same place for so long & they mess up something so simple, it puts a bad taste in your mouth. Jj will be going to the Thai across the road...
