I went to Bunnings Glenorchy today Tuesday 31/8/21 to purchase a number of different hardware items. As usual with Bunnings they have such a great range of products for both professional tradesmen and completely DIY amateurs like me. I have mostly found Bunnings prices to be competitive and really good quality. I find the staff to be knowledgeable and helpful. That being said, I particularly want to give a HUGE thank you to a young lady that was on the seperate checkout area where all the electrical tools etc are held. I found out that her name is Khayler. I first asked her where a certain item was in the store, she immediately pointed me in the right direction, her advice was delivered with a friendly smile and made one feel special and that their simple enquiry was important to her. After a while I found that some directions by other staff weren't as accurate, nor was the Bunnings app. I think the app was only inaccurate due to stock shortage of some items. However, I found myself returning to Khayler as she was like a store encyclopaedia when it came to finding where stock is situated. I think I asked her on four occassions and how she knew exactly where stock was situated, to me, was amazing. So, to me, Khayler is the epitome of what a professional staff member member is. Not only did she know her products and where they were, she was always keen to assist and make a customer feel special. She was also immaculately presented. I know I have written a large portion of this review about this staff member, but to me she made my visit faster, due to her knowledge and pleasant due to her positive character. I will also thank the gentleman at the vehicle entry door, name not known, but has white hair and glasses and there about 1130/45. I asked him a question about wood and didn't know exactly what I needed to carry out my task. After talking to him he took me to the exact wood product that will do the task perfectly. I had no idea that the product he showed me existed. So a big thank you to him for his expertise. To me, it was these two staff members that made my shopping at Bunnings Glenorchy a very pleasant, successful trip. Bunnings are fortunate to have such professionals as these, they are a real asset to...

Read moreOn Friday 10/11/17 I purchased a hose fitting @ Howard Road Store. First I must say that the salesman who helped me was most helpful, & went to much trouble to find what I was needing. {His name was Aron. I think} I initially shopped in Isle 31. By contrast my experience on Monday 13/11/17 when I went to exchange said fitting, was appalling. I explained to the girl at the door of the garden department that I wanted to exchange the fitting & as I could not find what I needed on the previous Monday, maybe I could get a refund.. She asked me to wait by the check out & the cashier would help me. This I did for some time, Then she suggested I wait in the que. Which I might add was getting longer whilst I had been waiting.. Finally after waiting some more & approaching the check out at a snail's pace, the same girl told me that I must go to the end of the corridor to the exchange department & they could not help me here. I almost burst into tears. I am almost 90 years old & after standing for so long I was exhausted, & the thought of walking to the end of the building seemed formidable. I wonder what has happened to service?????? Is the staff @ the entrance not trained properly. Surely she should have pointed me to the exchange department in the first instance. I assure you that if I ever shop @ Bunnings again, it will not be willingly. & not for a...
