Have been here quite a few times and always enjoyed. However tonight I was watching 2 young people make food & they were shockingly unsanitary that put me off. Wearing watches and piercings while preparing food is never good, not only that but the young girl literally stood in the middle of the store, got a tissue out, wiped her nose and then continued prepping food, wouldn’t shock me if they never washed their hands. This fish & chip shop is up to standard. The battered flake was tasty and fresh. (When you choose battered fish it MUST be fatty - which it was). So I feel supercritical in giving the food rating only 4 stars. So, if you don't want fat - choose their crumbed alternatives. Atmosphere was a little noisy for me (background music a little too intrusive) but for many.... They'd enjoy it. (If the music is too loud you can wait outside! The chips & potato cakes? Excellent! The chips were delicious!...

We ordered the family meal deal and asked to swap out the fish for something else and one of the Asian ladies looked at me like I was stupid and kept asking what’s the point. I gave up and said fine I’ll just have the fish then. Got our food 30 minutes later and it was not worth the $30.95 I paid. The fish came in a seperate box all together with paper on the bottom which the fish stuck to and was saturated, the chips were soggy and tasted more like sweet potato. Not going there again. So...
