Custom Service: had a young man who seemed impatient and frustrated when serving me and my wife when enquiring about whether the dishes contained “Mushrooms”. We always try to be polite and patient when ordered but we felt slightly rushed by the young man’s body language and facial bluntness (which we observed was not the case with other customers) ?????? The young man advised us there would exclude Mushrooms were possible in our order.

Oder: The Veg Tempura consisted mainly of Mushrooms. With approximately x1 sweet potato vs x5 Mushrooms.

Order time: Fairly reasonable. No fault at all.

Taste: Bland; Nothing Special; Typical fast food: greasy and uneventful; lacked flavour and did not resemble even the most mediocre Japanese food.

Presentation: No effort in presentation but food was hot. Loved the packaging although I had to ask for a paper career bag. No effort in presentation.

Overall: Considering the dish consisted of 3/4 of rice and barely a 1/4 of everything else which included a slither of meat. The dish was not worth it. Could have made a similar but cheaper dish from local store bought ingredients.

The food used to be very fresh and good, and it used to be one of my favourite go-to spot for a nice lunch or dinner (takeaway or dine-in). But since the reopening after renovation the quality is not there anymore. The food is not fresh, the products I used to order and love are now stale, saggy and unappetising, so I end up throwing it away after two bites. Gave it a third chance today since the reopening, now I’m sure I’m not coming back because it’s a waste of money thinking they would be back to their previous quality. On top of that, the staff is grumpy, unwelcoming and rushing you even when no one is in the restaurant...

I came here for an early lunch on a Tuesday morning. There was a little confusion with my order, I ordered Katsu Udon, but they heard Katsu Don, easy mistake. The meal was brought to my table very quickly and when I informed them of their mistake, they rectified with speed, generosity and no misgivings at all. The meal itself was lovely. Real depth of flavour to the broth, thick chewy udon and the katsu was a delicious piece of sliced chicken thigh with crispy crumb, beautifully seasoned and very juicy.
