Although we had a car, we decided to get to know the Margaret River region with the help of a local guide who could take us to some of the famous spots but also some secret spots that only the locals would know. Hank was fantastic and it was just the two of us with him for the day and he tailored what we did and where we went according to what we liked/responded to best. It was a mixture of stunning landscapes, famous surf breaks, blooming wildflowers, karri forests, caves, birds and a sprinkle of a few local businesses producing nougat to olives. We stopped whenever we spotted something cool to see like a tree full of black cockatoos dining out on some nuts. I particularly loved Hank's ability to interpret the region for us so that in just a day we felt that we had a thorough grip on what makes this diverse region tick. We then explored further on our own for the next couple of days, feeling like we knew a thing or two! This is when we did some of the wineries and other obvious places of interest all the while with Hank's insight rolling around in our heads. There were a lot of special touches like the orchid identification books and bird guides in the vehicle to the gift of a jar of local honey at the end of the day. also, Hank is happy to take YOUR picture at points of interest so it puts you in all of those great scenery and experience shots that you'll want to share. A very memorable day and we didn't have to do any driving or find our way around with maps stressing about where to go and what to see.

Looked hard for a Margaret River tour which is nature-focused while most others are focusing on winery/brewery/chocolate. So glad for the recommendation to this operator. Hank gave us a great snapshot experiences of Margaret River’s nature in & around The Leeuwinn Naturaliste National Park, stopping at locations from Yallingup to Agusta for marvelous views & high-quality air. We had brief experience of walking forests, bushes, marveling wildflowers (though not in full bloom yet), cliff, bay, river views, enjoying nice coffee and lunch (truly good robust coffee and great gourmet lunch). Highly recommend this tour operator.

I’ve just returned from a fabulous holiday in WA. I can highly recommend the tour with Hank as he has so much local knowledge of the regions history as well as horticultural knowledge. The region has such a diverse coastal and bush environment that you need to know where to go and what you are looking at. We could not have researched this all on our own. We loved the wineries but Margaret River isn’t all about the wine šŸ· 😊

We spent a full day with Hank, and from the moment he collected us from our accommodation we knew we were going to have a great day. Hank is incredibly personable and has a fantastic communication style. He really wanted to make sure we were going to get the best out of our day and ran us through the plan, asking if there is anything else we would like to see. Hank is incredibly knowledgeable about the Margaret River region, sharing many facts about the area, showing us places we would never have found by ourselves and sharing stories of days past, along with some of his own childhood stories of growing up in the area. I highly recommend Hanks tour, you will not be disappointed. He also showed me a few photography tricks too, which resulted in amazing photos - an...
