This was our 2nd time staying here with wonderful hosts Kerry & Glenn. 3 weeks previously we were lucky enough to acquire a booking while my husband had to 2 days work in Margaret River. As he was so busy & unable to fully enjoy this wonderful guesthouse like I did, we decided to book again for our 40th anniversary. We also treated ourselves and had Glenn take us for a tour in Rosie the Rolls Royce. We visited several family run wineries which were lovely & had a coffee tasting:informative experience at Yahava & finished with an absolutely delicious platter that Kerry had prepared for us back in the guest lounge with fire burning keeping us toasty & feeling like royalty. Kerry also supplied appropriate headwear to make us look the part. We love this place & hosts Kerry & Glenn so much that we are bringing a few friends back in the new year because it just feels like you are staying at a really great friends place. The personal touch they put in & bring to their guest house while still being able to keep it professional is a credit to them both & we wish them every success in their new venture & can’t wait to see the changes they are planning for the guesthouse. Do yourself a favour & try to book in here before anywhere else. It’s central to everything, they have the most amazing breakfast’s that change daily & are able to set you up with plates etc if you decide you’re too tired to eat out & just want to chill on their beautiful deck with takeaways. Love, love, love this guesthouse...
Read moreWe had a very comfortable stay here. It was clean and the rooms are very nicely decorated. I have to say, however, that our experience during a stay of a few days, in no way resembled the reviews below. The owners have completely changed the model to basically an Airbnb situation. It is self check in and out, accessed via the back of the house, no contact with anyone (in our experience anyway) for the length of the stay, except for a text message offering to clean the room (offered for longer stays). There’s no warm welcome on arrival, no friendly banter, no complimentary hot breakfast as stated on their TripAdvisor blurb, no sherry or port for guests, no access to lounge or any part of the house other than the room, all things mentioned in previous reviews. They have a lovely sign in the front garden stating it’s a Bed and Breakfast, which probably should be removed as it’s not. I’m sure had we needed anything we could have asked, but it’s very different experience from the friendly guesthouse one detailed in...
Read moreA 5/5 rating just isn’t enough for this hidden gem in Margaret River. Kerry and Glenn are wonderful hosts, very welcoming and accommodating. The accommodation and gardens are stunning. Our room was spacious and decorated beautifully. The personal touches made it all very special. Waking to birds singing outside our window added to the charm. The breakfasts were delicious, so many choices! Shops, restaurants, and bars are about a 15 minute walk from the accommodation. A glass of port in the lounge of an evening was a lovely end to the day. We also did the wine tour in Rosie, the Rolls Royce, during our stay. If you can, then do the tour -we highly recommend it. Glenn is an excellent tour guide, very informative and is a great conversationalist. We visited smaller wineries, tasted beautiful wines, and felt like royalty. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rosewood Guesthouse. Thank you for your hospitality...
