STAFF ARE A DISGRACE AND YOUR BUSINESS IS DISGUSTING. This morning my parents and I decided to visit Mario’s Coffee House for what they believed would be a lovely breakfast. After ordering coffee, we proceeded to order our breakfast. After 30 minutes my Mother simply asked the Barista how far away their food would be. With no attitude, as she is a humble well mannered woman. She was then to her surprise, spoken to by the staff member in such an abrupt and dismissive manner. But to add to the attitude, there was the audacity to suggest leaving as it is Mother’s Day and there was going to be a wait. We were upset with disbelief with the disrespectful service we had received and DID decide to leave. They made their way to the register to pay for their coffee and the barista shouted 'Don't worry about the coffee just leave'. Being Mother’s Day, we all know it is expected to be busy and stressful. I work within the hospitality industry and have been so for 7 years. The way my parents were spoken to this morning was disgusting is shameful. Despite how furious I was about this whole experience, I did not want to make a scene. As it is your staff that should feel embarrassed and not their customers. If I could give advice to anyone who intends to visit this café, I would strongly suggest NOT TO SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS. The appalling attitude of the staff is disgusting. I would I expect to be contacted further in regards to this matter. I don’t care how bad of a day someone is having or if they are too hungover to cater to their job requirements, but I want this feedback relayed onto that Barista and have them rightfully disciplined. My Mother’s Day was ruined by your rude staff. I await your reply and to reach out...

The Post Inn is, without a doubt, my favorite bar ever. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between cozy and lively, making it the ideal spot for both a quiet drink or a fun night out with friends.

What truly sets The Post Inn apart, though, is the incredible staff. They are simply the best I’ve ever encountered. Every member of the team is friendly, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure you have a great time. Whether you’re a regular or a first-time visitor, they go out of their way to make you feel welcome and well taken care of.

The drink selection is fantastic, with a wide variety of options to suit every taste. Whether you’re in the mood for a classic cocktail, a perfectly poured pint, or something more adventurous, the bartenders here have you covered. Their skill and creativity behind the bar are impressive, and they’re always happy to recommend something if you’re unsure of what to try.

The Post Inn also has a great menu of snacks and light bites, perfect for pairing with your drink of choice. Everything is prepared with care, adding to the overall high-quality experience.

In short, The Post Inn is everything you could want in a bar—fantastic drinks, a welcoming atmosphere, and the best staff around. It’s a place that feels like a second home, and I can’t imagine a better spot to unwind and enjoy a great night out. Highly...

Nice little bar. It was pumping here around 6pm on a Friday. Drinks were good and the service was lovely. We just stoped for just the one drink tonight. We’ll certainly return for a longer stint in the future and some food

Review for the previous business, Mario’s

Real score 3.7 out of 5.

I liked it here. Mario’s is unassuming enough and nestled on a hill on Heidelberg Road just near the train station. I liked it immediately. It’s a mighty pleasant place inside or outside on a sunny winter’s day. Nothing like a bit of nice northern light.

I started with a large long black which was mighty tidy. It was a good one. I was happy to sip away to the Fleetwood Mac playlist that the young staff seemed to be thoroughly enjoying. The salami toastie I’d ordered took a few minutes to prepare. I’d been warned the cafe was out of sourdough and that it’d be a baguette instead. It was a good snack. The salami was nice and so was the thick stretchy cheese. It was good tasting and lovely.

Nice cafe. Good coffee, good food, nice surroundings, pleasant service. That’s all bases covered. I’d happily...

Came here on a recommendation from a mate that lived locally. We were looking for a local casual pub that also served meals so dropped by on a cool Thursday evening. We arrived around 7 and the place wasn't as busy as we expected. There was covered seating outside on the footpath as well as tables and benches inside. There was even an open air beer garden out the back which was cosy but a bit cold unless both outdoor gas heaters were going. There was a good selection of beers, spirits, wines and cocktails. In terms of food on offer, that night there was a selection of pizzas. We ordered a couple of pizzas that came out reasonably quick and we found them enjoyable. Only complaint would be the size, in that they could have been a bit larger for the price. Staff were friendly and made us feel welcomed so would be happy to come back and also recommend the Post Inn if you are in the area.

The Posty is the biggest hidden gem in Melbourne. By far the best place to have a beer in Ivanhoe. The owner Sam prides himself on great food home made food. I think the menu varies but if you get a chance to try the pizzas / meatballs or Salumi board.. you won’t be disappointed they are authentic and delicious. A couple of really cool spaces, out the back beer garden, out the front/ side & Dog friendly. Great tunes playing always. Inside is really nice with a few rooms upstairs as well each with their own vibe. Most importantly it’s great service, more then friendly, we have run into a bartender named Hamish or the “Hammer” probably up there with the nicest blokes on the planet. I rate this place so highly.
