The esteemed Brighton Baths located at 251 Esplanade, Brighton is many things - Historic, iconic and even - evocative to name a few. Opened in 1936, it's a deco brick marvel of architecture. Providing the unique possibility to safely swim 50 metre laps or splash around - the water is caged to keep out any debris or unwanted sea creatures. It's a beautiful place. The private beach provides solace and for those more active, an indoor and outdoor gym, steamroom and fitness classes are all available. Entrance to the sea baths it $10.00 - Chlorine free too! - There is nothing better than the feeling of a fresh sea dip or swim, it's great value and the adjoining cafe next door is a great place to recover with coffee in hand. - Hamish John Appleby //...

Brighton baths fir a coffee after our walk. What a joke... coffee in a cup which was not made properly your finger went thru the bottom of the cup... hit coffee everywhere. Went and told the girl. She said. Oh yeah we had a bad batch of those cups. They are all finished now!!!!!! Whoever is running that coffee area shouldn’t be in hospitality.. we had chips and calamari and potatoe cakes. No serviette was given no potatoe cakes. Expensive for chips. We saw the chef come out from the kitchen!!!!!! I am sorry I am a chef myself... if one of my staff turned up like that!!! Pity I saw him after we had lunch... I will not be eating there again.. not that they care less. Too busy talking to their friends than serving...

This was one of my favorite Melbourne venues. However the last two times have been really average. I last went there today. The table beside us left as their food hadn't arrived. Ours food arrived within a reasonable timeframe, however the hot drink we ordered before the meal arrived after we had started eating and the food itself was average. We ordered some sides to go with our mains - the chips were bland, cold and unseasoned. The asparagus was over cooked and the cheese wasn't fresh. It was like they had been cooked and sitting for ages before served. The staff were unable to advise what was gluten free on the menu, it would be great if the menus were updated with...

I am a part time member at Brighton Baths Health Club whenever I visit Melbourne. I’ve made great friends and adore the outdoor classes on the deck with the water lapping below and the sun on your body. Swims, paddle boarding, steam room and ice baths have been fun too, and always a coffee and snack afterwards in the cafe. Brilliant!

I joined Brighton Baths Health Club because my gym membership ran out. I love it because Brighton Baths is a community- staff know you by name, people are kind and inclusive, the water changes every day and there is nothing like seeing the sunrise/ set over the water. I am so happy!
