There is some kind of construction going on with this spot when we are there late last year. There is no parking space on this spots. Good for photo shooting when its good weather. No parking when we visited. This spot is often described as an iconic Melbourne location but it does not live up to its hype. The walk from the nearest available car park when we visited in Jan-23 was located more than 10mins walk away. Paid parking too...for this location it must be free. @council pls review the status of this location as a tourist venue.

Just love it. We used to leave in Brighton and it’s my place to recharge and relax. Love to walk barefoot, collect shells or just read a book and listen to the little waves. If it’s superhot in summer you just cross the road and at the beach the air is fresh.

Worst experience I’ve ever had. Went to walk 20 minutes earned an infringement ticket of $96. Profitable business for Bayside City Council. Congratulations!

Not the best water quality on this day, it happens after heavy rain. Normally it is better than Ok. Best to get away from the bay to find good clean water.
