Don't know why I've never written a review for this place but if you haven't been before GO! Try the sashimi (massive plump ice cold pieces served atop refreshing lemon pieces), the buldak chicken (if you love spicy food that is covered in molten cheese and their disgustingly additive sauce), any of the soups that are so generous with toppings (army stew is a MUST try!). Seafood and kimchi pancakes each of them lovingly and artisticly created. And the fried chicken... Get the original with smoked soy on the side and don't look back to other chicken places because the juice from the fried chicken at Danji will carry you to places that transcend beyond heaven. Dry breast? Don't worry. With Danji you won't experience any of that.

Bottom line... stop reading the reviews and just go eat here! The kitchen is run by two lovely ajummas and that's enough said. Any korean kitchen run by two ajummas you know the...

On the same weekend that we had a not so pleasant Malaysian food, this time we said let's switch to something more authentic. This place and name suggested that it should be authentic.

Service & Ambience [4]. Overall their service is good but not way above. It's a small restaurant so a slight raise of hand, the staff can spot you. Taking order is a breeze and you can easily point to the food picture if you had hard time pronouncing.

Food [4]. Ok we did say authentic but there is still rating for the taste. We like the Army Stew, the potatoes noodles but their chicken, we still like the chicken at Waverly Garden - Crispers.

Their food isn't cheap. The entrée already costing above $20 for some selection. Prepare to spend in hundreds if you have a hungry group of people. So suggest to have decent breakfast before...

We have been to this family run business now a number of times, and only now am I writing a review. How poor of me. This restaurant is off the beaten track, has free parking in front and plenty of it. 4 hours by the way, so having a long dinner makes it so worthwhile with friends and family. Food: we have had several dishes over the past few months, and the flavours take my family and I back to Ulsan South Korea where we lived for some time. Traditional food home made with full flavour and you're not thirsty afterwards. Awesome! My youngest child is fussy and hard to feed at times, here however eats everything on the plate without prompting or argument. Just for that, Danji...

This place is definitely one of the most authentic Korean restaurants in Sydney and I love this place but their service is too rude and arrogant. They need to train their staff with a proper procedure and guideline. I've been there several times and happy with the food but their service always makes me so uncomfortable after all. I would highly recommend their Sashimi, which is not a Korean dish but the value for this dish is good. Their marinated galbi with cold noodle are above average too. The atmosphere is casual and not too shady like many other Korean restaurants in Sydney, so if you wanna bring your colleagues, it would suit well.

Danji does things a bit differently than your average korean restaurant. They throw in a few Japanese menu items in there too (nigiri, udon..) 1. Boneless FRIED CHICKEN! Although the sauce was heavy and it indeed weigh down the crispness a bit, we didn't mind it because the inside was the juiciest korean fried chicken bite I've ever had... The juices seeped through every bite. 2. Bibimbap was average. 3.Beef tataki and 4.nigiri were not done as well like at standard Japanese restaurants. Dessert with chocolate spring rolls with matcha was a great finisher. 👍 Simple but with nice elements, executed well.
