D&K Asian Grocery — Local services in Melbourne

Although I knew about D&K in Footscray, I thought it was like most of the other Asian groceries around Footscray, mostly Chinese and Vietnamese with some token Japanese and Korean items as an after thought. It was my first time today after listening to a podcast about instant noodles 🍜. It's a great store which carries a great range of frozen and dry Japanese, and Korean foods. Normally I would take a trip into the CBD and shop at another store with a large Japanese range. Thank goodness I've found my new one stop shop to get my Japanese fix. I don't have to travel so far to get my natto, matcha or miso fix. Been going there for a few years now and there's always something new and good there! They have a wonderful variety of Asian groceries, especially Japanese ones, than the other stores that I can't seem to find locally. Just recently purchased the Captain melon syrup that is hard to find here in Australia, as well the famous Tokyo Banana that my family loved.

On top of that, the staff are super lovely too!

Reminds you of a Japanese convenience store! Excellent selection of mostlyJapanese foods, fairly reasonably priced. Korean stuff too. You will find some Japanese stuff here that you won't find in other Asian marts.
