Sapa Hill has quickly become one of my favourite places to eat, and for good reason. Their fried rice is honestly one of the best I have ever had—full of flavour, served hot and fresh, and with a portion size that is more than generous. At $25 it may cost more than the average fried rice elsewhere, but the size makes up for it, often lasting me for two meals. It has become my go-to dish, and I find myself ordering it almost every time I visit, whether dining in or picking up takeaway. I have also explored other dishes on the menu, and each one has been a standout. The Lemon Ginger Prawns introduced me to a completely new and refreshing flavour, while the Special Spring Rolls are large, crisp, and among the best I have tried. The Beef Ribs were tender and packed with taste, and the Beef Vermicelli Noodles were filling and well-prepared. No matter what I order, the food is always consistent, fresh, and nicely presented. Service has been friendly and welcoming on every visit, and the ambience is relaxed and enjoyable. The restaurant itself is a little small for the number of people it attracts, but that only reflects how popular it is, and it does not take away from the overall experience. After many visits, I can confidently say Sapa Hill never disappoints. Great food, great service, and a place I am always happy to return to. A well-deserved 5 stars.

Please note these pictures were from my first visit. I came here the second time and it was great so I decided to give this place a review that it deserves. Sapa Hills Footscray has the great flavours you'd expect from a restaurant with premium prices. Now don't let the premium price scare you off as I say it to compare to the regular restaurants that surrounds it. The dishes you see here are roughly $15 each whereas you'd normally get them for $13 elsewhere. But the quality of the food really justifies the price hence why I gave it a second visit. If you're familiar with Tan Thanh Loi in Footscray or a fan of Thanh Ha 2 in Richmond, you'd definitely love this place. It's cleaner and the atmosphere is really groovy. With that being said, the staffs could be friendlier. Sometimes it feels like they don't want to be there or hate their job. I'm still giving the restaurant a 5 star to give benefit of the doubt that the staffs were having a bad day. My review in the future may reflect the customer service if I go there again. I would come here again and recommend it if you're around town.

ORDERED: 🌼 D.I.Y. Pork Roll with pancakes, pulled pork, pork crackling, lemongrass, pickles, coconut hot sauce ($22.00) 🍝 (Off menu) Mixed fried noodles (MĂŹ XĂ o Tháșp Cáș©m) (~$26.00) REVIEW: Sapa Hill completely anglicised! Presenting my friends and I with a completely English menu with none of the traditional Vietnamese dishes I used to come in for. I was a little shocked but mostly disappointed. However, I was able to use my Vietnamese on the staff and ask if their kitchen still made the iconic combination egg fried noodles. I don't know how she managed to input it into their POS system, but it was properly noticed and invoiced. A shame they didn't have it on their menu though! It's one of my favourites. Really friendly, efficient place that's gone through heavy design renovation. It feels more suited for dinner with its moody black walls, and neon lighting. Still a good joint, but be prepared to get the more Asian-Fusion type dishes rather than the traditional Vietnamese food offerings.

Very unfortunate experience getting over charged when we went to pay by split bill. They charged us twice because of their POS error. For some reason their own POS didn't print one receipt, so when the next person went up to pay their share they put the "rest" on his bill without saying anything about the previous one "not going through". When this was noticed and raised they argued with us. But when we showed from our banking apps that we were charged and the money was taken out they kept arguing, were dismissive, wouldn't offer a refund for the overcharge and they didn't apologise for the situation. They said they would call us once they could confirm the money went through the next day to sort out the refund but never contacted us and we needed to chase them. They then blamed it on a banking error - which it absolutely wasn't, it was their own POS error. Didn't take any accountability for the situation where we were out of pocket and made to feel like we were trying to do something sneaky. Food was fine but so so expensive compared with awesome places next door and this experience means I will not be coming...

Dined at Sapa Sister Footscray. Food was great BUT wasted 20mins of my night. They chased us up saying they have overcharged us and needs to do a refund, went back and cashier can’t figure the payment out took 15mins to decide and call his manager from the main Sapa. She then refunded me the whole amount I have initially paid and then CHARGED ME ANOTHER BILL MORE THAN I HAVE PAID FIRST. So, they actually undercharged us not overcharged.

I have asked at least twice if I had to pay them more as I did felt that we paid less than expected. But they assured me NO, I am getting a refund. I have no problem paying more but a process that could have taken only max 5 mins took 20mins!!!! Now, they have taken $140 and $170 off me !!!! It’s Friday night, then weekend, and public holiday. NOW I have to wait at least 2-3 business days to get the refund back WHEN THEY COULD HAVE JUST EASILY ASKED ME TO PAY $30 more.

No sorry for inconvenience. I am left to use my savings for the weekend as they’ve taken all my splurge money. Good food but ruined my Friday night and whole weekend. Total BS. NEVER...
