Pacific Mart — Local services in Melbourne

I read some bad reviews before coming here but I knew they sold taro root so I chose to come anyway.

Firstly, 80% of the taro root being sold had turned bad. Lots of mould, squishy spots and flies buzzing around them. I found a small one which was okay and it cost $8.95 - too expensive in my opinion. They also appeared to be stored in plastic bags so it’s no wonder they were all spoiled.

The rest of the supermarket was quite dirty and messy and the staff working there were not particularly helpful. The man who served me had headphones in and didn’t hear me ask a question. By that stage I was keen to get out of there so I didn’t bother repeating it. They do stock a selection of foods/snacks from the Sth Pacific, however at a very marked-up price. So you want to make sure you desperately need these things before shopping here. Sadly I won’t be going back...
