Noticed Amir's had opened up recently at Hampton Park Shopping Centre and decided to give it a try. Obviously has the Mini Mart side of things to it, but I was looking to sample the bakery section. If you've ever been to an A1 or similar, it's of that same style. The standout difference for me was how generous the size of items were and that there seemed to be a slightly greater variety than what I had sampled elsewhere. Both visits their cheese pies were stingy on cheese, the bread is thin, not fluffy and they are overcooked. The baklava I bought on the 2nd visit was wrapped with glad wrap not cellophane and ribbon and was stale yet soggy at the same time. I adore A1 in Dandy and Nouh bakery in Hallam is pretty good too. This place has a long way to go but I won't be spending any more money here. Oh and the coffee was so scaldingly hot I couldn't sit it...
