Paula & Rockys Fish & Chips — Local services in Melbourne

I feel like Google Reviews has so far been unfair to Paula & Rockys, otherwise known as "Fish and Chips Bakery" in our household. This is a classic Aussie suburban fish and chip shop who also sell a few baked goods - bread, slices, warmed pies etc. There's no mistaking what you're getting here - fish, chips, potato cakes, dim sims, various other deep fried goodies. I like their sandwiches too - simple, to the point, steak or ham or chicken with salad on white bread. It's like an old-school tuck-shop. Paula and Rocky are kind and friendly people, and their takeaway shop plays an important role in the make-up of the far north Reservoir Johnson St shop strip between Keon Park Station and JC Donath Reserve. I'm glad they're still here doing their thing, and hope they are for many...

I got $5 of chips and I was shocked at the size and yet the owner didn't seem fazed that I was so stunned and just tried to justify the amount by saying others give less..well I can't say I've ever gotten such a small amount for $5 except at the footy...and I must say they were soggy and not nice at all..honestly I wish I could give no stars 😥😡 I won't be going here...

Stumbled across Paula and Rocky's during a public transport mishap. The food was what I'd expected, it wasn't way over the top but it was nastolgic and comforting, reminiscent of back in the 80s-90s where you got fish n chips on a beautiful day, which was what I was after. They were friendly and kind. The food was cooked to perfection, it wasn't too greasy either...
