we did catering for 50 people on my daughters's Birthday from Swagat. The new management was very good especially Mithu he guide us for which menu items are good for catering which is suitable for both vegetarian and non- vegetarian. Food was so delicious, all the items either entree and main course. Everyone love zafrani chicken and veg manchurian, Dal Makhani, chicken , Goat is also very yummy but little bit bone.. i forgot to mention lollipop chicken which everyone enjoy with drinks. Food was more than enough for 60 people. i am very thankful for Mithu, for food and making our party memorable. I am highly recommend the Swagat for Catering.

This was located in Thomastown suburb. Can catch Mernda train from Melbourne City and get down at Keon Park station. From there, it is walkable. We were welcomed with papads by a person called Taran and his entire service was very good and gentle. The food was so yummy 😋, as we ordered panipuri, samosa chat, murg tikka, amritsari fish and pineapple mint mojito. The quantity was decent and worth for every penny. The ambience was soo good and it is suitable for lunch/dinner/ parties. We will visit next time and have to try the main course also.

Superb flavour plus such amazing choice in their weekly buffet. Veg and non veg options, but as I am Vegetarian, I can give a seal of approval for the tasty veg mains and starters. Visiting Melbourne only for 3 months and it has felt like a treat coming here weekly with my family. They even have manchurian and some Chinese dishes (Manchurian and noodles) and Veg Biryani from time to time in their buffet menu. Happy family plus happy tummy makes me extremely Happy. Compliments to the Chef, Hospitable Staff and Manager Mr Mithoo.

Hi All, Are you after real or authentic taste of punjabi food!!!! Trust me guys “ SWAGAT THE WELCOME” 21/391 Settlement Rd Thomastown VIC 3074 Australia This is the only best restaurant in Melbourne. I recently visited there and as I entered the aroma or fragrance refreshed me 🌸 This restaurant is very beautiful and perfectly designed. I got surprised to see the decoration and presentation. The color theme feels me like I am enjoying nature 🌠 Everything was perfectly managed and fully cleaned and spotless either floors or whole set up. The staff is very active, friendly and responsible. I was observing how staff paid proper attention , provided quick service and a big smiles all the time. The owner of this restaurant is very humble and genuine he was personally going to every guest and looking after them. Now let’s talk about it’s mouth watering food🤤!!! No artificial color, and taste was added in all the dishes I had. From Goat curry to paneer were cooked in natural ingredients, color and spices. All the food was delicious and traditional. However, we requested from mild to hot the chef prepared it and served beautifully. I asked staff to pass my compliments to Chef for making our dinner night best ever with his wonderful cooking skills and taste😊 . I don’t know who is the chef but he is a master chef 🧑‍🍳 and he has magic in his 🙌. There was a buffet service too including 4 entree and mains in just $20 per head 😳 and unlimited food. I was shocked how this most delicious food can be served in such low prices and unlimited. Wow!!!! This restaurant is amazing in everything for small to big parties and celebrations this is the perfect place to create wonderful memories with wonderful food, service, ambience, presentation etc. Now this is my favourite and fixed restaurant to eat out and for celebrating. Though, I have to drive an hour but doesn’t matter for getting best nothing matter. So guys what are you waiting for !!!!!! Please rush At “Swagat The Welcome” on above mentioned address and enjoy the real taste of Punjab. Confirm your booking over phone or online as it’s busy and favourite of everyone.😊😊😊😊😊 Highly recommended always...

We hosted a party at this place. At the time of booking lot of freinds were catching covid. We estimated 50 adults due to covid times people were scared or catching virus. But on the day 61 adults showed up ( happy that all came) which was all the invites we sent out. But restaurant staff didn't take that well which I understand but owner of restaurant was little aggressive in his tone over the phone because they could not handle 11 extra guests. That was no excuse for only 2 staff servicing 61 adults and dozens of children. People had to walk up to counter to ask for water, for spoons and food etc. At the time of booking I was told that if the guests exceed the number they would open up additional area upstairs to seat them even though all night it was never used for any other reason. but I was later on the day of event told that we won't be allowed to use additional area. Although they did set up additional one table to help. Many of our guests were still standing with no chairs to sit down. Venue is nice inside good for small to medium gatherings bad service and food. Toilets ran out of soap in first hour. Toilets were not clean at all. Guest complained about smell coming from toilet out to the sitting area.

Now main reason we go into restaurants which is food was rubbish in my view. Paid top money for the service but got very little in return. At buffet we constantly ran out of spoons and food. Guests waiting for water at table. Overall most of guests did not like the service at all. I would avoid this place and would not recommend it to anyone looking to host a party. Again That's my experience your experience may come out different. Our party celebrations got ruined because of too many bad things that...

Careful Careful Careful. Careful. Careful. Careful.

We had our daughter's 1st Birthday party on 3 Feb 2019 from 5:30pm onwards.

First of all they don't have Aircon providing they have that huge hall. They have only evaporated cooler and only 2 airvents were working out of all. It was dam hot inside throughout our party.

Secondly after telling them few times they were not refilling the water jugs. The girls told me that they are refilling the water but the guests are drinking water a lot. I was shocked how come they can say that. I told them its too hot today so need to refill water then when I talked with them in the same rude way they were talking with me then they refilled the water.

Third ,they put the main food at 9pm and we didn't get dessert untill 9:40pm. When I asked them they said they do it like that all the time. I told them I am in Australia for the last 12 years and never saw any party where dessert comes 40 mins after the main food.

Fourth, When they got Rass Malai after 40 mins and our guests had some Rass Malai then they found it was expired and rassgullas had a bittery taste.when I asked them then they told me they get Rass Malai from outside 1 week before which is shocking.

I would never ever recommend anyone to have their any function there.Their hall is nice but the customer service and the food is terrible. So don't get deceived by their big...
