i saw $3 sunflower seeds in the shell, and i thought this would be my new go-to spot for my favourite snack.. i bought two bags, i was processed by a kind cashier, and went on home. i ate one bag before bed, curious at the taste but ignored it since this was from a new shop.

The following morning at work...my hands are shaking, I'm cold, and my stomach feels taught... I'm woozy. I go to the bathroom....it is not a pleasant time for any orifice, but I feel better. I consider this a mishap as I had eaten other things the day before.

I return home from work and attempt some from the second bag, only to have stomach cramps not long after. My science experiment has concluded.

Overall, the shop seems fine (a tad dusty, but not the food) and the cashier who attended me was nice, hence the two stars. I only worry for those who purchase the prepackaged items. In any case, don't buy the $3 sunflower seeds in the shell. I can't speak for any...

Generally well-priced and very fresh. Customer service isn't necessarily super-friendly at times, but it's good enough and the guys are usually helpful when you have questions. Like most bulk places, many items are in open containers. People who have a problem with that concept quite obviously shouldn't choose this type of shop. Those of us who understand reality know that many bulk places will have the occasional insect surprise, so it's best to freeze items if you're not going to use them quickly. In 30 years shopping here I've never had any reason to throw something away...
