Espresso Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

This morning, like every day, I took my son to school and stopped to buy coffee and a sandwich. I always order a bacon and egg sandwich, and today was no different. The staff handed me the sandwich, and I took it as usual. But halfway down the road, my son suddenly screamed that he was itchy and that his mouth was red. That’s when I realized the staff had given me the wrong sandwich – it had peanut filling. (My son is allergic to peanuts.)

I called the store to inform them they had given me the wrong sandwich. Their only response was, “Oh yeah, your bacon and egg is still here. Do you want to come back and get it? There’s nothing we can do now.” They didn’t even apologize – even though it was their mistake.

I was okay – while giving my son some water, I went back to pick up the correct sandwich. But even then, no one apologized. I waited, expecting at least a simple apology – but there was nothing.

Their latte is my absolute favorite—smooth, perfectly balanced, and always made with care. The staff are lovely—friendly without being intrusive, like quiet companions who somehow know what kind of day you’ve had.

It’s my little escape from the noise of the world. A place where I can slow down, breathe, and feel human again. Highly recommended if you’re looking for more than just a coffee—this place gives you a moment...

Kelly and Sue and other staff are approachable and friendly. Their service is excellent just not satisfactory. They are honest and transparent. They always have a smile on their faces. Hygiene A++. The cafe is super clean and their storage of displayed food is safe. My husband Carlton and myself looked forward to having our brunch at the cafe driving all the way from Taylor’s Lakes 3038. Well done to Kelly and Sue. Love you guys....
