Happy camper pizza catered our wedding on 12/3/2023.

While the actual food provided at the wedding was delicious, it was unfortunately the only highlight when working with this company.

From the beginning, communication was incredibly difficult. At the beginning we thought it was because the wedding was still a while away but we eventually realised that there was never an intention nor willingness to meet with us. We hoped to meet in person at the wedding site but did not even manage to have a meeting over zoom with them. As they would not meet with us, communication was mainly through email and occasional phone calls. Responses always took a long time.

The lack of communication and willingness to properly speak with us about the details of the day was incredibly stressful and provided no peace of mind on our end. I understand that happy camper may do this often, but for us, as the client, we were not made to feel confident nor calm about what we could expect on the day.

Two weeks before the wedding, after sending photos of the area as they would not be coming to see the site, we were told it was unlikely the truck would be able to fit. We had measured the area using the measurements provided on the website but were told the truck was brought with a trailer which was too big too fit. This could have all been avoided if a site visit had been done as requested months prior.

On the day, as mentioned, the food was delicious. Yet, the amount of food was incredibly disappointing. We had paid for the “all you can eat pizza” yet the overall amount was very small. The main food of the day was meant to be pizza, yet the quantity was very limited.

Prior to the day we requested 3 waitstaff as we did not want people lining up for the pizza, but we were told that they didn’t have enough waitstaff to give us because of their restaurant. They reassured us that two waitstaff was enough, which on the day it was not.

We were incredibly disappointed with the service we received both leading up to the wedding and during. We have tried calling to discuss our feedback but didn’t hear back. I understand that writing a review like this can have a huge impact on a small business but we feel that these issues need to be addressed and can hopefully be...

We had happy camper cater for our wedding day on 14/10/2023. Been waiting months for another follow up email from them about our issues.. so I'll try my luck for a response on here! First issue which could of been disastrous is my wife the bride is anaphylaxtic to nuts so was a nut free wedding. Happy camper were well aware of this and we had chosen our pizzas to reflect this.. turns out a recent ingredient change ment they were going to be putting pesto(contains nuts) on one of the pizzas.. luckily my mother in law picked up on this and put a stop to it! Second issue not serious but very disappointing. Burnt pizza bases!(not just a little I'm talking charcoal) My wife and I had our pizzas late in the service because we were getting photos done and the pizzas we had the bases were completely black making them not taste very nice at all.. we thought maybe it was just the pizzas we ate and a few here and there but talking to family and friends over the last few months it's quiet clear majority of the pizza bases were burnt! In the one reply we got from the owner she said " I'm really surprised you didn't flick it back to them and complain on the spot." Which I completely would have done If I knew the extent of the burnt pizzas at the time! Kinda seems like she's blaming us not complaining instead of her employees doing a good job. I'm sure no one wants to have to complain to caterers while trying to enjoy there wedding day! An honestly how could the team cooking the pizzas not know they were that burnt?? For the money you pay I expected...

Thank you so much Sonia, Remi and the whole Happy Camper team! Will and I have finally had a chance to recover from our amazing day and wanted to take the time to thank you all again.

We couldn’t have imagined anyone else catering our wedding; all of the food and service was incredible and the airstream was so much fun. Our guests raved about the pizza and absolutely loved being able to come up and order whatever and whenever they please. We were so glad that we also chose to go with the grazing table and canapés as well, it was the perfect amount of food and our guests were so well-fed.

Will and I also loved being able to grab a quiet minute to enjoy some hot pizza and even ended up having a couple of take away ones to share at the end of he night whilst we debriefed! The service was absolutely fantastic and we couldn’t believe how quickly and smoothly you managed to serve such a large bunch of (very) hungry guests.

Thank you for being so flexible and understanding with our two postponements. You were always so gracious, understanding and caring, even when you faced so many challenges yourselves along the way. Thank you for answering all the questions we had and reassuring us that you had it all under control- it was more then perfect. Now we just need to find where you set yourselves up over the weekends so we can enjoy your food once more. We wish you all the best with Happy Camper and your family.
