Samba Bowl — Local services in Smithfield

I wish my experience was like everyone else's... but it wasn't! Perhaps if I was just buying for myself on pay-week I might not have thought of it as a total rip off... but as I'd promised the kids after the movies, I was locked in. There's only ONE size option for the self service bowl and it's HUGE! I asked if the weight of the bowl was included: it is, and is over 50 cents completely empty. All the kids were really great, only doing the smallest drip of yoghurt (where the first pull was very watery) and didn't go wild, even not adding the "extras" out of politeness. I felt embarrassed not letting them go for it, like i have at YOMG in town ($6 "sky-high" cones) ... the average cost was over $8 each for about 4 small spoons worth of fro-yo.

I've given 3 stars as it was clean, and the place looked good, and the yoghurt was fine, but it was watery at first pull, mine was a little bit icy (kids all otherwise seemed happy, but they were also not paying so were polite) and was a real reminder of the cost of living.

My suggestion would at the very least, please have a small-cup option - i felt sad to be leaving with almost empty bowls... the girl at the counter said a full one (like the pictures on the walls) works out to be about $25-$30 (it's $4.50 per 100mls - including...

The service was fantastic, it was busy when I came in however the staff still were able to assist me without ignoring other customers. Felice suggested I try the Rose flavour - not something I would normally pick however I gave it a go and it reminds me of Turkish delight which I love. The staff also gave suggestions for which mix ins to add that would go with my yogurt choices. Cannot fault the service...
