Deus Ex Machina Camperdown — Local services in Sydney

What a phenomenal evening we had at Deus last night! We hosted my husband's 30th birthday with 35 guests. We had such a great time as a group and everyone commented on how much they enjoyed the food, the venue and the service. There was SO MUCH FOOD! Everyone had plenty to eat; the vegetarians/pescatarians/GF eaters were catered for extremely generously and our guests were so impressed with the variety, flavour and quality of the meal. The amount of food provided for a $49 set menu is incredibly generous.

A very special thank you to Amina. What an incredible talent they have heading up their evenings at Deus. Her focus on service cannot be faulted: every glass was full at all times, the food came out in a timely manner and she communicated with me and my every thought and whim throughout the night! She was warm and friendly from the moment I walked in to set up and treated all of our guests with that same hospitality.

I recently had my 40th birthday party at the iconic Deus Ex Machina cafe in Camperdown, and my guests and I had a fantastic time. George, the Venue Manager, was very informative and helpful, and he explained clearly the process involved in arranging the night and what the costs were.

On the night of the party, my guests were welcomed very warmly by George and his staff. Signage was kindly put up on the front door by the venue, and a “Sally’s 40th Drinks” menu was put together for reference as well.

The venue was perfect. Every single meal choice and dietary requirement were met. My guests raved about the food, particularly the steak sandwich and the Deus cheeseburger, and they were impressed with the available drinks as well.

Overall, we had a wonderful time, and this was mainly due to the organisational and culinary skills of the staff. I would highly recommend booking...

Probably one of the worst experiences! Food arrived incomplete and cold, no one did a check back. When my partner asked for the bill, items had been charged which we didn't receive. When my partner advised of the problems with the food our server said we should have said something earlier despite us never given the opportunity to do so.

No service recovery & poor quality of food. While we had our problems the table next to us again had missing items from the order, two people waiting on food whilst others had theirs arrive and none of them recieved their drinks order despite asking twice and had their food!
