Urban Pizza Bar — Restaurant in Sydney

Disappointed. Seen the sign “Pizza $12 Tuesday and Wednesday” lady who took my order was nice enough but when I asked is the pizza like a real Margherita, Napoli style (good sized crust, circles of fresh mozzarella etc) she said yes and this is what I got. Far from it, I would have bothered if I knew it was like this. She also failed to mention that the $12 rule only applies to medium pizzas and it was too late as I ordered a large ended up paying $18.70. Also the girl making the pizza wasn’t wearing gloves and despite NSW being COVID free. It’s no excuse to not do that during a pandemic. Pizza had mediocre taste 4/10, was sloppy and too thin.

Updated review after second visit. Regrettably I bought another pizza from this place on 20/2/21. Even further let down. Reduced to 1 star. I walk in at 9:31pm. I start ordering my food and 30 seconds before I go to pay the girl there says oh wait were actually closed. I had to do a double take on that. “You’re closed this early on a Saturday night” yeah sorry she said. “I’m halfway through my order” oh ok I guess I can serve you. Turns out they closed at 10pm on Saturday’s. I would like 1 large Margherita with salami and anchovies. Ok. come back about 10 mins later. As per the photo it was not even cooked and so sloppy the mozzarella was sliding off. Everyone knows it’s 1 anchovy per slice. You know how salty those things are? There was 2-3 on each slice on mine.

It’s a safe bet that I won’t eat here again. If you want good real Napoli pizza order from Aperitivo on Norton street. AVPN certified and same price with few exceptions for premium...

So 5 stars from me for customer service. My father is in ICU and these guys delivered the pizza to RPA Hospital and had great customer service. (Turned into a little more than a standard delivery). Other shops did not offer this level of customer service. My father has insisted on us both going to the shop to say Thank you. Dad's review of the pizza was outstanding. Delightful place in the Camperdown area. My wife and I were looking for a place where we could pick up some food quickly after a tiring day in Sydney. The good reviews are definitely worth it. We tried the large chilli chicken pizza which was substantial with generous toppings. The friendly guy managing the store was willing to tweak the 'hot' levels to our taste. The chicken wings were great too.
