Got an excessive fine of $300 for parking on a yellow line (clearance zone) in a private residential street. I thought it was fair game because there was no "No Stopping" signs and was not aware of the yellow line rule which is unique to Sutherland Shire Council to my knowledge. Not only is the road rule vague because there are no signs, a $300 punishments is over the top and should be reserved for far worse infringements. No stopping signs need to be added and if not then the fine should be between $100-180.

Sutherland Shire Council did not waive the fine nor reduce it when I kindly requested it under mitigating circumstances via letter so they have little to no empathy which adds to my bad experience with this council. Poor...

The only sport they care about is soccer, they pulled down the two small signs advertising the local league and union clubs last year next to the highway at Engadine citing danger to traffic I appealed to no avail couldn’t even get a meeting. yet subway and the council have 8 signs which have nothing to do with roads. Nothing against these signs they did it deliberately to hurt the local community and weaken its non soccer sporting clubs. You go along the road to cronullla and Sylvania there are non traffic signs galore why don’t they pull them down double standards.
