We were looking for the best pho in Sutherland Shire, and found Moonlight Vietnamese Cuisine Restaurant. We decided to give it a try, since according to google it has the highest stars. Ambiance is alright, everything looks clean and elegant. Service is alright as well. Food was bland, though. Specifically their pho, which lacks in flavour. Overall, honestly we are disappointed.

Great place to eat Vietnamese food. The atmosphere is nice, the food comes out fresh, delicious and quickly. I got the Hanoi caramelised pork and it was very tender and nice. We also got the Vietnamese pancake and the share platter for 2, both of which came in generous portions and were of great quality. Wonderful place overall 👍👍

Fabulous food fabulous experience, highly recommend, the menu has wide selection, crispy mini spring rolls, hot beef bbq cook on table, red duck curry and did I mention the sweets, gelato and choc coated passionfruit ice cream , yummy

I do not usually leave negative reviews on local businesses, however I had an absolutely horrible experience at this restaurant a couple months back and could not continue about my day without warning the innocent customers of Sutherland Moonlight Vietnamese Cuisine Restaurant anymore. The people who I assume to be managers were overall rude and treated their employees horribly. In the span of one meal, I witnessed MULTIPLE creepy and disgusting encounters in which old men harassed two young employees, in front of an older employee, and nothing was done about it. This is disgusting behaviour. The poor employees looked no older than 15 years old. My daughter (16 years old) was considering applying for a waitressing position at Moonlight Vietnamese, however was extremely disturbed by the events we witnessed from a nearby table. I, along with my family, will not be returning to this restaurant until the managers learn how to take care of their employees. Service from the two young waitresses was immaculate however and I hope they both find better employment. Witnessing such repulsive behaviours get ignored by older staff is disgusting and I will be sharing this with my friends and family who previously attended this location. Very...

My partner and I have been meaning to try this place for years because it’s always so busy. Don’t let the classic, vintage interior fool you, the food and serve was fantastic.

We went on a Saturday at 8pm and this place was still buzzing with happy customers. We sat, ordered, and were well fed within an hour despite it being a full house.

We ordered the entree sampler - my favorite was the spring rolls, my partner is still frothing about the chicken satay. Every part of the sampler was amazing though and we loved the variety of sauces.

We got a few mains:

Salt and pepper eggplant - don’t pass this up! Absolutely amazing and my favorite dish of the evening. A touch of spice from the pepper but the sweet chili sauce was a perfect side to calm things down.

Moonlight mix noodles - simple, unassuming but a nice light pair with the rest of the meal.

Fried rice - 15/10 can’t recommend enough. My partner is obsessed with fried rice and couldn’t stop talking about this on the way home.

Beef with ginger & garlic - really nice, just straight tender, good quality beef with some veg. The sauce from this on top of the fried rice was amazing.

Mildly upset we didn’t try this place sooner but will...

I’ve enjoyed this place a few time during the working week and found the Beef pho to be season nicely. A few other dishes have been ok. Max time I spend is 40min. I’m a eat dinner, pay and leave person. I don’t stay around all night as the atmosphere is not me style.

But today, I walked it, just after 5:20 One table in use and a lot of reserve signs on the table, which I think is great but the way the staff talked was not that great. I was if we had a booking, which we didn’t then was told “we are booked out. Not even one little bit of trying to accommodate me, as I would have been done with my meal within 40mins.

Maybe they didn’t want to reset the table or they had take a away orders to process because that’s the only way I could seem them not wanting some extra customers……. We end up going to a nice little place in caringbar near Maccas. Which will now be the new place to go for Pho over...
